Is there any adhesive strips behind the incontinence pad? When a person sleeps on them and turns over, do they make noise?

There are two adhesive strips on the underside of the pad but they don't stick at all well. I do not notice any noise or crinkling sound when my mom turns over or moves. These are way too expensive if you are buying because of their sticking ability; they don't stick to the bed sheet and they don't stick to eachother. We are back to taping them down with flexible medical tape.
