This is a great to have and a great value for your money. the weight is light and easy to handle. it survived a first season and still in great condition.

Good hammer for cutting cultured stone
I lay cultured (fake) stone all day. This hammer is solid. I am a big fan of the wooden handle too. Good tool, buy it if you need a brick hammer. Got mine a year and a half ago and it is sound as the first day I got it.

well balanced and functional
A pleasure to use. I purchased to help with building a CMU block wall and it was nice to have. I did not use the "axe" end as I just used for aligning blocks and generally whacking things while building wall. I could have made due with a regular hammer but appreciated the balance of this tool for the project. It is well made and I suspect if well cared for will last a lifetime. More still if one were to replace the wood when eventually worn.

Used this to help me shape rocks for a small boarder wall I did. Came in handy when the chisels I had were too much.

This is a BEAST!
NOBODY makes hammers like Estwing! This is the best you can get in my humble opinion. Very tough. I've been beating on old brick mortar for weeks now cleaning old brick and this thing never waivers. ALL my future hammers will be Estwing!

Estwing brick hammer
I've been a bricky over 40 years, this hammer is slightly larger than your normal brick hammer, having said that I think it is an excellent, well made hammer for use by a Bricklayer, not for smashing rocks but for use with brickwork

Great balance
Not everyone I know likes it. Although this hammer fits perfect in my hand and works perfect for me. Everyone is different.

Heavy duty, I help operate a trade school and we ordered multiples of these and they hold up extremely well! 100s of apprentices go through the program and these get well used and abused and have stayed true so far
