This device , and part, does exactly what it is supposed to do. A firm and tight repair for exhausts. It is great for small segments of exhaust needing small repairs. Normally I just cut the section of exhaust that leaks, severely rusted, or damaged by road debris and by cutting a a segment of pipe and replace most of the area and then clamp the new segment of pipe onto the old. There are all sorts of exhaust repair options. I opted for this product, this time, because it was a great option, with less work, and knew I was going to replace the entire exhaust shortly. Highly recommended.

Decent quality worked well for a but connection and a affordable price

I think the concept of this exhaust clamp is right on. I just think the actual band is flimsy. It should be a little thicker gauge when tying up, especially on an exhaust white pipe going into the main pipe for the rear to the muffler. I think that it’s a little bit of a pitch. It doesn’t fit tightly around the pipe you’re joining as others have written. They’re using a muffler paste, / sealant to seal without leakage on either end of the clamp if it was a stiffer metal I think it’ll be a much better fit so other purchases of this are correct you will have to put an exhaust high temperature cement sealant around the inside of the clamp if not you could get exhaust leakage

Perfeft fit

It handled the pipe connection, but doesn't close it fully closed. Very minimal amount of exhaust coming out. But for the price, and to get the job done. Good enough.

These clamps are very good and exactly as described.

went offroading, mudding, and had a blast bouncing thru the trails, but broke the exhaust pipe between the muffler and tailpipe on the 2011 nissan pathfinder. figured a big wide clamp should do the trick, and this one worked great. busted off the old rusted clamp where the pipe broke, wrapped it in a few layers of heavy duty aluminum foil, and put this clamp in place. good price, easy order, fast delivery, easy install, perfect fit. pipe is mended and nothing is moving. for other installers - bolt head was 9/16 and nut was 14mm - but 9/16 would work on both.

Did the job perfectly and good shipping times

Great clamp for a couple of reasons. First it solves a problem when wanting to join two pieces of same size pipe. Slides each end of pipe half way in and tighten. That’s it. I used an impact driver to ensure a tighter fit. Don’t overdo it of course. Second, if you are joining stainless or polished pipe or a muffler, it just looks better.
