It does what it says it does. All Seachem products work as described. At least that's been my experience.

Great Product - Use as directed
Malawi/Victoria Buffer is a really great product and works very well. Be sure to use as directed and always, always dissolve the product first. I got cocky and added it straight to the tank without measuring and caused several fish deaths, especially with large cichlids as they breathed it in through their gills. Do not do this! After I dissolved it and even split the dose over 2 days I have no more issues. Be sure to raise PH slowly or pay the consequences like I did.

This rocks. My cichlids are happy!
This buffers my water to a higher PH than I was using before. I actually removed my Pleco just so I could raise my PH to 7.8+. He was pooing everywhere anyway. My cichlids seem extremely happy and very colorful now. I am happy I chose to go with this option.

Does what it's supposed to do!
Used to raise your water's pH. You will have to experiment a little, testing to determine how much your water will need to get the desired pH level. Seachem does give you recommended doses.
