Perfect for our needs!
My English Pointer broke her toe so needed to be bandaged for a month of very short walks only, to keep her toe in place! I put a thin piece of cotton wool under the dew claw to prevent that rubbing, then a child’s sock, then vetwrap to keep it all in place. The large boot went on nicely over all of this, keeping her comfy and dry on pavement walks only. The boot toe wore out over the month but pack of four is cheaper than new vet wrap everyday, as it scrapes the pavement when she walks. I would not recommend letting a dog run off the lead in one of these as they slip and could cause further injury, as will the dew claw if its on too tight or too long due to the strap position. Two months on she still has a protruding toe and is on restricted walks but at least the bandage and boot helped with the initial discomfort! I still have two new boots for our next trauma.....Pointers!!!

Cheaper than the vets and speeds up recovery of injuries.
We recently spent a large sum of money in veterinary charges as our Jack Russel Terrier got an infection/injury to its front paw. As a result of this he had to wear one of those silly looking ''lampshade'' implements on his head to stop him worrying at his paw; this was great, yet not very practical for walks and fun so we purchased a set of 4 booties for £5.55. Well believe me when I say it's a hell of a lot cheaper than going to the vets . They come in different sizes to fit all dogs and they are easy to put on; which is a big plus point. They have Velcro straps which can be adjusted for comfort and they are also waterproof, with non slip soles. Also they are breathable so the paws don't overheat or sweat, which can make healing more difficult. The booties are great for daily use and can be used for other reasons as well as protection against chewing and licking. In very hot weather they can be used to stop your dog getting burnt paws and the same goes for extreme cold and if salt has been put onto roads and pavements. All in all I think for the price these are a great buy. I really don't have any negative points to give which suits me. If your dog's paws need protection for the short term these are ideal and I would recommend them to anyone.

Sturdy boots - choose a size bigger
Unfortunately I am unable to comment accurately on your product as I had to return them without using them. I have a 13kg cocker spaniel with big shaggy lion paws. I ordered M boots and these were too small. My initial thoughts however are that the boots appear well made and I will be ordering them in L. What I will say is that the Velcro straps are very long and there wasn't enough sticky Velcro stuff to accommodate the long strap

well constructed dog boots
Our dog had an infected paw due to arthritics causing the bones in his foot rubbing. Cannot do anything about this but wanted to protect the foot and stop him licking the ointment and the sore areas. They worked a treat and being breathable stopped his paw getting damp. They were very well priced, they fitted well and did the job. Sometimes they twisted on his paw in spite of the velcro fastening being firm. Nothing you can do about this but when the velcro was too tight it caused his dew claw to bite into his skin because it just happened to stretch across his dew claw. Not a fault of the boots but just something to be aware of. We tried several makes and these were the best.

Became damaged in 30 minutes
These boots appeared ideal for my terrier who had suffered pad damage to his back foot. The delivery was very quick and I was delighted with their appearance. Easy to put on, and my dog was very happy to walk in them. Due to his recovering from injury, he is on short lead-walks only, so 30 minutes later and the above photos show 2 of the boots damaged at the toe. These were worn on the front feet, the 2 back ones were fine. Obviously, I expected some wear and tear, but not after just 30 minutes walking! The seller readily agreed to give me a refund but as I still need boots for my dog, will now search again for somes which are hopefully better made and of harder-wearing material.

These stay on
Nowadays our Springer Spaniel wears one of these on one of his front feet every time he goes for a walk. The Thing with these is that they stay on - often dog boots don't stay on the dog. And if the boot stays on a Springer who runs around like a loon and goes swimming then that's a pretty good recommendation. They have an elastic cuff and an elasticated velcro strap which goes around the ankle, you need to do that up good and tight but he's fine wearing them and shows no signs of discomfort even if he's been out for hours. He's even climbed a Munro wearing one and they seem to grip surprisingly well, even on slippery surfaces. We find that one of these lasts perhaps a week before we need to replace it - say 15 hours on the dog. On him they wear along the edge just above the sole and eventually wear through and start to split. As we want to keep abrasive dirt away from his sore paw we chuck them out at that point although they are actually useable for longer. NB Neither the breathable or the waterproof ones are actually waterproof and if the dog is going swimming the breathable ones are best as the water can run out. The waterproof ones trap it and the dog ends up with a bag of water on the end of its leg. However the waterproof ones are fine for snow or slush. If the dog has a dressing you want to protect then you need to buy a size to suit the bulk of the dressing - at a pinch you can also cut the boot to enable it to open up more and we've found that the breathable sort don't rip. We've found that the combination of a good cohesive bandage and one of these boots over the top of a dressing will keep the dressing dry even if the dog goes swimming. Doesn't get any better than that.

A good buy! Very happy with them.
These have been really useful boots for our dog Millie our 8 month old English Cocker Spaniel - where she got a bad deep cut on one of her fore pads and we have had to keep it as clean as possible and also stop her licking it. Millie accepted the little boot really well. They are easy to put on and appear to be comfortable and do not chaff. They stay on well and hand wash well. Not so good for outdoor use on a mad dog walk (normally just running! around like a nutter) but ideal for indoors and going out in the garden for a bit. I would definitely recommend these boots. Measurements good. And having a set of 4 is fab.

Good for elderly dogs
Worked really well for our elderly mini schnauzer who was losing strength that would otherwise have assisted him on floor boards. We needed to try a smaller size so they were less likely to slip off. They were tight to put on but worked better. Our poor little man was becoming incontinent at the time too so it was helpful to be able to just change his socks instead of having to keep washing his fluffy schnauzer paws. Sadly we needed to say goodbye but he did at least look like he was more confident on his feet while he was an elderly doggy trying to navigate floor boards.
