Solid storage cabinet. Needs to be secured to the wall (tipping hazard)
This is a heavy storage cabinet thanks to its solid wood (constructed from smaller pieces) material. The finish is nice and shiny in natural color. It does have a "school furniture" vibe, especially with the logo of the brand in one of the pieces, but it could be used for other purposes. The installation is pretty straight forward, especially if one is familiar with putting together bookcases that are delivered in boxes. It took a little longer than I would have expected, because, once the side pieces are up, the holes in the shelves do not align 100% of the time with the sides. Luckily, I was able to align the holes by pushing and bending the wood slightly and to insert the screws. Therefore, I would highly suggest not tightening the screws on the side panels until everything is put together. If you don't want the company logo visible, you can swap that piece with the one in the back (they're identical), as I did.I also have the 5 compartment version of this storage cabinet, and in comparison, this version is a lot less steady. Adding wheels to move it around makes it even worse and creates a tipping hazard. If one has small children, fixating the cabinet to the wall -or other heavy furniture- is a must. This of course defeats the "mobility" aspect of the storage cabinet with the wheels.Overall, I'm happy with this storage cabinet and recommend it to anyone looking for a mobile storage solution.

Missing all Hardware
Order this cabinet came in broken and missing hardware. Got replacement and it was still missing all hardware for assembly. Only one screw, one joint connector nut, one binding post screw, and two wheels, not enough to assemble it.

It’s on wheels but tells you to secure it!
The product is solid. But I don’t get why it’s on wheels yet you have to secure it to the wall. I bought this without realizing it was on wheels so there’s that. The wheels seem useless.

Beautiful, but beware of tip-over hazard
Overall, I'm very pleased with this beautiful kids' shelf. It is solid wood, nicely finished, and very sturdy. It appears durable enough to last for many years, even in a classroom setting.I'm not particularly handy, but assembled this piece by myself in about an hour and a half. (It probably would have only been an hour, but I made a couple mistakes right at the beginning.) I didn't really like the company logo on the front, so I put that piece at the back instead for a cleaner look. Now, my only complaint about this shelf unit: With the casters on the bottom, IT IS VERY TIPPY. It comes with hardware to attach it to a wall (which is a must!), but then... what's the point of putting casters on if it's attached to a wall? Honestly, I'm so scared of this thing falling on one of my kids, I will be removing the casters immediately. I'm just confused about why it was even considered a design point in the first place because it seems so unsafe. So in summary, I definitely recommend this beautiful shelf for a kids' playroom, bedroom, or classroom. But if you're planning to use the casters on the bottom, please proceed with caution and definitely secure it to a wall.

Whoa, This Is Huge & Heavy (TIP HAZARD) & a Tad Complicated to Assemble
WhyI selected this to replace a vertical bookshelf that was made of engineered wood.Real or engineered wood. This is crafted from solid [real] wood and is more horizontal than vertical.WeightWow is this heavy, about (73 +/-) pounds. That’s not a type, about (73) pounds?SizeIt’s huge. Nearly (3’) tall, near (4’) wide, and almost (1’) deep. How does it look in person. It’s much larger than what I envisioned, from the listing. I just did not appreciate its size and weight until fully assembled.AssemblyMy first (and this is going to be the last time to) assemble this really was not that smooth. At one point, I realized I hadn’t put in the backstop/backboard in place, about a third of the way in and so I had to take this apart to insert and then assemble. Further, on the middle section of the shelf, I had not tightened those two (2) screws into the wood until they stopped. That was a mistake, as there are two large screw hears that are to screw in to stabilize those screws that insert into the vertical shelves. Assembly for me. From opening the box, pulling all the parts, assembly, to placement was over 1½ hours. Best to work with another. Why did it take so longIn addition to what I wrote above, the instructions are not that clear for a novice who hates reading instructions, which were a fold open (4) pages – front and back. All the hardware was there, however, its numerous pieces, as in measured in the dozens.Fit & FinishThe surface of each piece of wood is as smooth as glass. For the most part everything fits in near perfectly. So, hooray for that. So, there were no small gaps. What to store? From Books to stuffed toys and whatever else one can imagine.LooksIt looks like a piece of furniture. This thing is big.DurabilityRock solid sturdy. This is not shaking or wobbling, so long as every nut has been appropriately tightened.Country of origin?Made in ChinaValueIn hindsight, I think this is appropriately valued.Low to the groundThis is very low, truly for a new toddler to an early school age toddler.WheelsI saw the availability of wheels; however, I tried them and took them off. Why? They are novel, but I really do not need wheels on this for my use, plus, it just creates a hazard as the children want to move this about.WarningThis is so heavy, installing the tip hazard hardware is a MUST, MUST, MUST.I hope my thoughts provided additional information.
