Warped Base➖Needs A LOT Of Light To Rotate➖Base Too Large For Small Globe
This arrived from the vendor double boxed, the outside box generic, then the inside box branded & covered over with a foam material. The inside box was also shrink wrap sealed & once you opened it the actual radiometer also had another small piece of foam around it.This isn’t the best looking device, the base is too big for the small globe top & it is just plain black plastic. More problematic is it wobbles, it is not level & there is no provision to help level it built in.We have other solar activated devices humming along while this one sits stuck still. If you could get into it & maybe lube the rod it sits on that might help it turn easier. If there was some way to de-warp the bottom platform it sits on maybe that could help it turn better?Basically it’s just a disappointing experience.

It wouldn't spin. Soooo cheap
I expected a little more for such a simple "machine".

It works, but could use a bit more attention to detail
The media could not be loaded. This radiometer functions correctly, turning when exposed to the bright and direct sun. From a distance, it looks quite nice, but up close it is clear that it could use a bit of work. The glass globe is glued to a thin plastic base and the glue joint is quite sloppy, with glue showing in several places. The base, while having small feet and providing adequate stability, is very thin and light. My main issue with the base is that it is extremely smooth and slick. It feels like it is about to slip out of my hand when I pick it up and I am afraid to grip it too hard, lest I should crush the thin plastic. The base should have been given a less slippery finish. So while it does function, I must give it no more than four stars due to the lack of attention to detail. Four stars.
