Have several Hooke road products on my 2020 Jeep gladiator, easy to install, look great and great value. Plan on putting my CB and light switch on overhead panel, already have portable ham radio attached. Plenty of room for several attachments. Strong enough to hold most items you need or want

Heavy duty molle panel. Directions are terrible at best. You will need to unscrew multiple screws in overhead to be able to install. Allen wrench (2 sizes) but it’s solid.

Well made, instructions are a little vague. Had an issue with my 2024 Rubicon. The trim for the speakers make it a little harder to install, but overall I would highly recommend.

The good: as opposed to similar overhead molle panels for the Jeep Gladiator, this install requires NO drilling. Hooke Road thought this through. It bolts right in place using the freedom top mounts. The fit and finish are great and it's very sturdy. The front and rear cutouts allow easy access to the freedom panel latches. Installation was easy-ish, but more on that later. The panel has plenty of space to mount accessories. I mounted my accessory light switch panel to it, and plan to attach a GMRS radio later. It is made of carbon steel so you can easily attach magnetic accessories to it. The bad: the assembly process is a little murky. It is a 2 piece assembly with a bracket that bolts to the panel and attaches to the roll cage frame behind the front freedom panel latches. Easy enough, except the supplied bolts (which connect the panel to the bracket) are too long. The bolts install vertically and come with a rubber spacer, but they are still too long and contact the freedom panel. If you don't care about seeing the nuts, you can install them from the top down and you're done, but that's ugly. You could add washers underneath but that too is also unsightly. I ended up getting shorter bolts to fasten the bracket and called it good. Now for the ugly: the instructions are abysmal. The pictures are way too small to see the details. The written instructions just say 'attach bolts' etc. but do not explain correct placement. I first attached the bracket under the panel but that put the bolts too close to the top. Since the instructions didn't explain this step, I figured it out. I had to back track and undo all the front hardware to change it so the panel attaches under the bracket. That created a little more distance to the top, but the bolts still contacted it, so I used my own shorter bolts. The nuts are lock nuts but it also came with lock washers, which makes no sense and wasn't addressed in the instrucions. I tried using the supplied washer, redundant lock washer, and rubber spacer but the bolts were still too long. There is a QR code in the instructions for an installation video but it's a dead link. Would I recommend this to a friend? Maybe. This has a better price point than other brands and doesn't require drilling. If you are a little mechanically inclined, then yes I would recommend because it looks great and works as it should. Only giving 4 stars becsuse of the bolts being too long.

Only issue I have is at 6' tall, I sometimes hit my head on it getting in the Jeep. But I can't really blame the product for my clumsiness......Install was super easy. Looks great

Very good fit, and an easy install

I gave this a 4* review and really had to think. The reason is it's not the product - it's the instructions that prevented the 5th. JCR Offroad does a MUCH better job explaining the installation than the product does. MUCH! But that's install - how does it hold up? Fit is fantastic! It's sturdy, dependable, looks awesome, holds my sunglass pouch, and my fire radio. The pouches are not great quality, but I repurposed them to hold my tie down straps, and shackles under my back seat. It's perfect for that. Not above your head. My other molle pouches fit perfectly, and offer more storage. Just don't install it on a sunny day. You'll lose your finger prints.

Great solution for keeping binoculars, bear spray and other outdoor essentials close at hand but out of the way. I was worried it would be annoying having something hanging from the roof beside me, but was pleasantly surprised that it is not an issue.
