Quality notebook
Works great for journaling, there is a very minimalist design and pleasant muted colors on the cover and pages. Pens of good quality will write well on the paper. Never had an issue with tearing or bleeding, though I wouldn't suggest using markers on the pages. This is a smaller notebook, in the A5 size.

Fantastic notebook for journaling.
Saw a link for this to another stationary website and was thrilled to be able to pick it up here from Amazon. I have a couple of these now and the quality and design are sublime. I would recommend either of the covers as well to keep the sturdy paper cover from getting too dinged up or dirty. The quality of the paper is outstanding. I have used a wide variety of pens and inks on the paper - Monte Blanc, Zebra G750 with LK refill, and my Rotring 600 with Schmidt EF9000 in both medium and fine points and the paper is smooth and easy to write on, zero bleed, and the rules version is broken out into sections that you can use for whatever note taking you might have. Simple but elegant. Quality and value. These are things that matter and as I looked for something to capture my daily journaling thoughts, this was the choice that made sense. The A5 is the perfect size and I'll keep buying these as long as they keep making them.

Great writing experience
This notebook, although not premium, feels great for its price point. The cover is a thick, cardstock-ish material, but the whole notebook is bound with a layer of glassine paper that, although crinkly at first, will soften and feel pretty nice to the touch. The pages are a good thickness, and it holds all types of ink well, including fountain pen ink. Each side of a page is split into two sections if that's useful for you, and the lines are a good size for writing (around college-ruled size?). Overall a great writing experience.

Simply Beautiful Paper
Beautiful paper: A joy to use with fountain pens. Smooth surface, lined and NO BLEED thru so both sides are usable. My Lamy Safaris purr on the page, lol. My only comment, because I cannot call it a "complaint" is that the cover is paper, lovely paper, but paper nonetheless. It looks like it will surely hold up to the binding, but will probably show smudging and handprints? Thus said, a small price to pay for such writing pleasure, imo.

Best paper
Midori makes the perfect notebook and the A5 size is the perfect size for me. No cover needed, just open and write. I prefer writing with another great Japanese product, the Muji pen. If you journal or just take meeting notes, you’ll not have to worry about ink bleeding through the paper or wet ink smudging on the opposite page when closed. I’ve come to rely on and enjoy writing in these notebooks every day. If your new to journaling or an old pro look for new notebook paper, I recommend you give the Midori notebooks a try.

Amazing!! But Lefties Beware
I can see why people love this paper so much. Writing with my fountain pens was so lovely, even my cheapest pens felt luxurious on it. However, as you can see from my smear tests, this is not for lefties. Even my trusty Sharpie pen smudged! The only thing that didn’t was a Bic Crystal. A delightful writing experience unless you’re a south paw.

One of the best journals
Great paper with a minimalist book design. All things considered, you can buy a high quality book for about 10 bucks. It works well with my fountain pens and displays sheening inks well, which was my first impetus for getting a midori md. The ink shadows a little, but it doesn't bleed through. I pair it with a pencil board (aka shitajiki) so I don't dent the page behind. A con I have is that these books usually have wild price fluctuations and are relisted CONSTANTLY, meaning you have to look to see if its the cheapest option, or if the relisted version is cheaper. Generally, when the price drops, I buy a couple more than I think I'll need, cause the price doesn't stay low forever.

Midori MD Notebook
Midori MD notebooks NEVER disappoint. The paper is easy on the eyes and writing on it is absolutely lovely. It takes fountain pens, gel pens, ballpoint pens, and pencils all equally well. The paper itself isn’t too thick and the notebook lies completely flat when opened. These are some of my favorite notebooks to write in.

Good but came a little damaged.
It's Midori. We all love Midori. It was delivered with surprisingly no packaging, like no box to keep it clean except for a delicate plastic wrapping. Maybe that's why it had a black dirty stain at the top...which I can ignore, but I wish it came with better packaging.

Not a practical FP paper
Paper is smooth. No feathering. Drying time is slow with an M Nib as with all good FP friendly papers. Ghosting is severe as the paper grammage is too low. Ok if you only write on one side of the paper but these books are expensive and you would want to use both sides. Only suitable for F nibs, pens that are low flow (definitely not Pelikan as these put down a lot of ink) and if one uses iron gall or pigmented light coloured inks. It is fountain pen friendly but not practical for the price.
