Great cameras, but minor flaws.
Short version: Excellent cameras, very reliable detection without really any false defections, and good tracking - but not perfect, blind spot directly below and struggle in the winter.Long versionI now have 3 of these cameras so it's safe to say I like them.Cameras are quite sturdy feeling and don't feel cheap, installation couldn't be easier - a couple of screws and camera clips onto its mount, removable if needed.Image quality is great, especially on the zoom lens you can see who people are (well, provided you know them) quite clearly.Battery life is good, but during the depths of winter without much sun at all my cameras have recharged by Solar about 10% in 30 days ... But they use about 3% per day on conservative settings, so I've had the cameras go offline and reappear online a few days later when the next time the sun comes out etc but generally speaking they are only trickle charging and flicking on/off during these dingey winter weeks... But prior to this even on not very bright days I found solar usually keeps them topped up quite well, so it's worth keeping in mind if you want to keep the cameras online you may need to charge them once or twice mid season. The only real issue I've found is directly below the camera, appears to be a blind spot for tracking... If people past the cameras even close to them it records a good 60 second clip of all there movements all around the property at all angles, except if someone walks directly underneath the camera it'll only record a 10 seconds clip as they walk upto it then it cuts off, this is definitely an issue and placing the camera somewhere people would walk directly under it - I mean, you'll still see them and be alerted but you won't see where they go once they pass directly under it.The app is functional but has alot of room for improvement, ease of retrieving footage etc is much more reliable if you have the HomeBase to go with the cameras (wired) as connecting to the cameras without hub may take a couple of Refreshes for clips to appear etc.Overall, I'm a fan of these cameras - effortless setup and very reliable, but I can see I will need to get the ladder out and recharge them once, maybe twice a year to get them through the winter season.

Great camera!
My experience with the eufy Security SoloCam S340.I've been using two of these cameras for 3-4 months now in conjunction with the Eufy Homebase 3 and generally I would say they work reasonably well and overall I am pleased with them although there could be some improvements.Pros:Excellent video quality (inc. at night).Excellent motion detection ability. Some AI capabilities, recognizing specific individuals, pets etc.Solar powered (not seen the battery level drop below 90% but not used through a UK winter yet).Freakin awesome auto follow feature.Well featured app with lots of useful settings.Cons:Cameras are sometimes randomly inaccessible for real-time viewing within the app! Go back a short time later and I can access them again without problem. Definitely room for improvement here however they still consistently record motion, send notifications and playback of recorded video is never an issue. Note both my cameras are connecting to the Homebase 3, experience might be different if connecting directly to a router. In any case, one of the cameras is very close to the Homebase 3 so it's not a wireless range issue.A bit of delay when viewing cameras in real-time, maybe 10-20 seconds. I have some pro grade POE cameras connected to an NVR and even they have some delay. The delay is significantly greater on these though in comparison. An increased delay is to be expected when using wireless as oppose to Ethernet.Camera can easily be removed from wall bracket and simply clip on and off so need to be positioned out of reach!Might not be relevant to many however I use Home Assistant and the ability to integrate any Eufy cameras is a bit of a nightmare and even when they are integrated, real-time viewing is not viable (although this camera has many entities that can still be of use). Many other brands of cameras comparable to Eufy integrate and work flawlessly. I wouldn't expect Eufy to write an integration for HA, however they are responsible for their API's and how their products can be accessed on 3rd party platforms. Eufy, you're lagging well behind in this area!Final thoughts: I don't really need to be viewing the camera(s) in real-time but on the rare occasion when I do, I'd like them to be accessible every time, would be nice also to use in HA as I do with other brands. I can live with this but it could be better. As mentioned, the motion detection is consistent and the footage is stored locally without any subscription so this is a massive advantage over some other popular brands! Did I mention the auto follow mode? It's freakin awesome! The camera has has all the features I would need and is configurable via the app. I'm very pleased with the video quality.I do have concerns about how efficient the solar charging will be during the winter months here in the UK but I've had no issues over the spring months.Aside the few issues I have experienced, I think it's a good camera and both the SoloCam S340's I have have consistently detected/recorded motion events which is the primary reason for my purchase. Would I recommend it... well despite a few issues, overall I'm quite happy with the camera(s) so yeah, I would. However if HA integration is a high priority for you, I regretfully would struggle to advocate.

Best Battery Camera
This camera from eufy is absolutely immense! The camera quality is stunning at 3k resolution, with 2.4gHz wifi which seems as if it would be an issue but it is not. The sound quality is great, the ai tracking is mind-blowing as it is built into the camera and does not need a Homebase. The solar charging is very efficient with my camera charging in full sun from 9am to 3pm. With 6 hours of constant sun, I charged 1399 mAh which is very good since I won’t have to take it down ever (currently this is the UK winter). Only downsides of the camera is the brightness of the light and the adjustment of the solar panel on the top of the camera which may affect charging since I could have got a little more sunlight with being able to adjust it more. The notifications are great, best in any solocam range. It is not easy to take the camera down it would require a little time which is a good thing incase of a burglary. The functionality is great, easy and interesting.I would recommend this camera over any other battery camera or wired from Ring. I did replace the Ring Spotlight Cam Plus with this and it is 100 times better for an extra £10 (when on offer). If Anker/eufy do find a way to make the light brighter I would give this a 5 star.
