High quality but 5000 not much different than 4000
Like all Shimanos, well made and smooth as silk, for a very reasonable cost considering the quality. Smooth drag. I bot the 4000 for medium duty work and the 5000 for bigger fish. I was disappointed that the 5000 was the same body as the 4000โฆ.. only the handle and spool were a bit bigger.

Very good reel for the price.
I have a 4000 already, bought some new rods and added two more of these in the 3000 size. Great spinning reels, just as good as the top of the line reels, durable and smooth. I load mine with 20 lb braid.

Nice reel for beginners
I love how smooth and light this reel is it's great for catching freshwater bluegill

Wonderful
Wonderful quality however I would recommend getting the 3000 or 2000 for an average bass fisherman, the 4000 was a little big and clunky for me.

Canโt wait to catch some biggens on it
Love it. The stainless look is so nice. The drag sound pretty good. I have yet to catch a fish on it. It also the perfect size to wight. And it feels so durable. I paired it with some kastking 12x 20 pound braid and it casts like a dream.

Excellent reel for the price !
Wasnโt expecting it to be this big, but that turned out to be a plusโI was able to spool 250 yards of 10 lb fluorocarbon line with no issue. The reeling is smooth, the drag is strong and consistent, and the build feels very durable. Functional, reliable, and performs way above its price point. Highly recommended!

Second Purchase
I bought one earlier and liked it so much I got another. Smooth retrieve, well made. I saltwater fish. The sea spray and sand in the air do not effect this reel. I do throughly rinse with copious amounts od fresh water after each use.
