You can easily fit even large and long gardening boots side by side. I think the front part is for shorter shoes or children's boots. Although it was standing outside, it did not rust and the paint did not come off.Height is enough.It organizes shoes well.I like the overall performance.

The shoe rack was easy to set up, but some of the poles were rusty and I had to order a replacement. The replacement came really fast and the quality is good.

I would have liked more flexibility in the length of the vertical pieces--they are made to hold 3 tall boots and 3 short boots. My medium length (cowboy) boots end up touching the floor. They would have been fine with another set of tall holders.

I FINALLY got around to assembling this boot rackIt was SO SIMPLE i just had to open the boxIt comes with good instructions a child could followand sets up within 10 minutes or less.Mine had one piece that had a little chip on the finish but NBDVery useful for someone like myself who has a shoeless homeEasy to put shoes and boots neatly away yet have them super handy.I keep mine at the front door but this can work anywhere on any surface as it has adjustable feetQuite stable and EASY to use100% recommended!

Assembly was fairly easy and varying length of hanger rods provides versatility for different boot sizes, but overall fatally flawed and poorly constructed.The single screw to rod design allows for bending of each stem, especially when introduced to weight. This may be overcome, but the tapped screw holes and welds were horrible. A couple rods came pre-crooked and wobbly right out of the box. The adjustable feet were nice, and necessary, as the nuts were also welded crooked, creating an instant wobble. I don't think this will last mainly due to poor design and poor quality of manufacture.
