Big coverage, noticeable sound improvement for a temporary studio
I’m in a temporary studio setup for a few months and the space is basically all hard surfaces. Concrete floors, framed walls, no drywall yet, just the bones of a basement remodel. Sound was bouncing everywhere. I picked this up to add some soft surfaces and it made a noticeable difference right away. The size is huge and perfect thickness and that’s honestly one of the best parts. It covers a lot of space, which is exactly what I needed. I hung it behind my green screen and even took the green screen down so I could see and hear how the blanket was working on its own. It definitely reduced echo and helped tame reflections in the room. The material feels durable and well made. The stitching is solid, no weird chemical smell at all, and the edges feel like they’ll hold up to being moved and rehung. The grommets make it easy to hang and adjust without fighting with it. This isn’t magic soundproofing and it’s not meant to be, but as a temporary fix it works really well. I’m actually ordering another one to put in front of me so I can kind of encapsulate my podcast setup and limit sound bouncing off every hard surface around me. If you’re in a temporary space, a basement, or a room that hasn’t been fully treated yet, this is a really effective and flexible solution. It did exactly what I needed it to do. So for such a big area it covers it’s a great value for the money.

Effective sound dampening blanket
I use this blanket to cover the entrance door of my apartment at night in order to reduce the noise from neighbors in the hallway. Good quality - thick and heavy enough to absorb sound. Convenient to install on a hanging rod and slide along the rod by hand. The blanket looks good to the eye and feels good to the touch. It does reduce noise so functions as intended. I am happy with this purchase. Good value. With my indoor use, I expect this blanket to last for a long time.

Heavy moving blankets
These are pretty heavy and thick. Should protect items very well. They came up in a search for sound dampening which is what I was looking for. I am using them as a barrier between the main part of the office and where I have 3D printers. They do surprisingly well to block some of the sound. After trying multiple options I did not have high hopes. They aren't soundproof by any means but their thickness helps a lot. In the right configuration and area they can help with blocking some noise. True soundproofing options were very expensive compared to a couple of these and they do well enough for my use. They are built made very well and should last a long time.

It helps…
This blanket did help reduce some noise. Definitely not soundproof by any means. Helped muffle conversations, and helped nearly eliminate dishwasher noise and air fryer noise. Seems to be more effective at reducing “white noise” in my experience. That said it also seemed to help my studio speakers and microphone sound better as these blankets seem effective at reducing echo. They are stylish and can easily be hung with the straps or rivets by only using 2 small nails. They are fairly thick and heavy. There seems to be no light bleed through which is a plus. Did not notice any weird smells as some mentioned.

Black-out curtain
It was easy to hang on my wall. I used it as a black-out shade as well as to help with cold and hot weather. It's also great on noise. I placed a black-out curtain right in front and you can't even tell.

Dimensions backwards for vocal booth use
Incorrect dimension representation. It was not made clear in the photos, without zooming in, what the dimensions were. I ordered 3 of these to cover a vocal booth that was 8’ x4’x4’. My math was right that I would only need 3. But when it arrived the dimensions were backwards from my math. I expected 80” from grommet to floor, 96 wide. As most vocal booth builds are 80” tall. The packaging said “moving blankets”, but the listing is marketed towards vocal booth/acoustic usage. So the wrong dimensions creates a problem when using it for acoustic means. This will not wrap around a booth at the typical dimensions. It will be too long and gather on the floor and you will be missing a door covering/flap. These are very expensive considering they aren’t what they are labeled as. These are not acoustic blankets, they’re moving blankets that they put curtain loops on. They will work, but double check your dimensions first.

misleading
picture says 80 x 92 and says two pack. there is only one and the size is 80 x 96. nowhere is there an option for choosing which you want. my bad for not paying more attention but its kind of misleading!!
