Non-traditional use: COMPOST
Having heard all the hype about alfalfa being great for things like rosebushes, I've decided to add a bag of this to my compost heap. This worked AMAZINGLY. It had been raining a lot prior to use and I knew I needed something to soak up the moisture. This did that. Not only that but the molasses which it's covered in provided the bacteria etc with heaps of food and I soon noticed steam coming out the grates of the compost bin even on hot days. With the addition of volcanic rock dust, the compost pile became HOT. I am talking do not stand over it and breathe kind of hot. It's amazing how much heat microbes can produce. Within 2 months, the alfalfa has completely rotted and I'm considering buying another bag! If you don't get enough brown matter in your compost - here's the answer!

Actually use cor the goats.

Bag arrived ripped and stuck together with packing tape. Not happy so returning it.
Disappointed as the bag arrived damaged. Will be sending it back.
