Alba Botanica Anti-Pollution Volcanic Clay Hawaiian Detox Frothy Scrub, 9 oz

I got this first at a health food store and then purchased it on Amazon for a better price. I use it as a scalp cleansing shampoo. It is very gritty, and feels like sand is in it. But it's not sand. It comes out shiny black like oil and is easily lathered with a very smooth lather. It does a really good cleansing. I use it two to three times a week. I might skip it once in awhile and use another conditioning shampoo. Although in my own experience because my hair is oily I do not need a conditioner after using this product.The scent is nice. Not overpowering and not floral. It really cleans the scalp and the hair. I have not noticed any hair damage at all with it even though it has abrasive power in it. And I also have not noticed any discoloration in my tub so that's all good.The only thinf that you need to watch for is if you color your hair. This will strip out permanent color, product buildup, and heavy oils from your hair. Although I color my hair, I find it is worth it. After I color my hair, I will use another non abrasive shampoo for a couple of weeks and then go back to this product after my color has had a chance to seal into my hair. Then it won't lift out as much. But it has been worth it to use this for the benefits I've received using it as a shampoo.

Ok so first of all this came and it is a giant tube! YAY!! This is the BEST scrub I have ever used. I love exfoliating scrubs but I feel like unless you use an actual sugar scrub for the purpose of exfoliating, you aren't getting anything done. The beads are just kind of a fun decoration.First of all: THESE ARE NOT BEADS!! They are natural and are not going into our water system and doing harm!Next, there are so many, that it is finally something that gets the job done. It feels so relaxing and satisfying. It has definitely cut down on the oil which is what I intended. It is not painful at all.Next.. the smell is kinda weird. I'm not a huge fan. It's kind of lemony, but in a Pine-Sol kind of way. Minimal issue as it's not awful and the benefits FAR outweigh the odd smell.Next.. I use this every 2 or 3 days and use a cleaning face wipe every day and I have not had any breakouts or any issues shifting to this product.. getting breakouts or anything. I LOVE it and when I'm out of my current body scrub, I am hoping to find one with this volcanic clay by Alba Botanica too :D

I bought this to replace the body wash version - which seems to be getting discontinued or something, unfortunately - and I do like it. I could do without the pumice but I like everything else about it. Not a strong smell, makes you feel clean, doesn’t dry skin out. I haven’t used it on my face because I use very specific things for that, but overall this is a good body wash.

Firstly, Alba's entire line is fabulous -- one of those brands you can always feel confident trying. Secondly -- this stuff is amazing; it's very creamy, and as it says, gently (but noticeably) buffs my skin. It stands up to the toughest part of me -- my feet, especially my heels, LOL so I have respect. Doesn't rub or irritate skin. FYI, I use a (clean)! kitchen sponge (the scrubber side; the non scratchy kind) to scrub my feet with -- works great!

Really nice scrub and good price. It’s listed as a face wash though, which is what I was shopping for. I used it the night I got it on my face and thought it seemed a little intense for face wash. Then upon further inspection I realized it doesn’t say anywhere on the packaging that it’s for faces! Not a huge deal. I’ve been using it as a body scrub ever since and like it a lot, has helped with some small bumps

Was initially given this as part of a gift set for Christmas and I have fallen in love. Post breastfeeding when things were starting to "shrink" back down I was having trouble finding a natural scrub that dealt with the dead skin and acne issues I have having on my chest without drying out my skin. This scrub has worked perfectly. As long as I use it around 2x a week I no longer have any issues with acne. Very happy and its become a staple in my shower routine.

I have a combination skin and found with daily use of scrub skin feels much better, so I set out to find a go to quality-price scrub. Boy oh bot how happy I was when i opened this product - the scent is good, the abrasive parts are of good size and amount, consistency is not too thick - and all under $5 in such a big tube!Look no further, this product is just fantastic.

I wanted to like the scrub. It actually felt good going on and while it was on my face but after washing it off my skin seem to be somewhat irritated from it so I cannot continue to use it. Probably not for those with sensitive skin.

Smells nice and you need little of it in your palm to work on your face. Good scrub and, after wash nice feeling too
