I bought and returned these books when I saw the author’s statements that the enemy can bring false healings, in her view evidenced by the presence of physical healing without ( to the observer) meaningful change in the healed persons spiritual life. I am open to the Lord changing my view of Scripture ( though of course His Word never changes, just our understanding of it as we grow). But upon praying immediately the New Testament cases disproving her statement were evident. One need only think of the 9 lepers healed, only one’s heart changed. Only one “whole.” This isn’t the place for a lengthy theological discourse but I caution anyone who knows that God is only good, that satan can deceive but not create, that Only by His stripes we were healed, to disregard the book. She makes several good points about doors to the enemy that open when self-rejection and failure to discern our true identity in Christ are present. Restoration and healing from heart wounds that blur the knowledge of our Identity in Christ, and the experiential encounter of the Father’s love are essential to avoid these pitfalls. These are central teachings of Bethel and Catch the Fire, where better guidance can also be found on God’s goodness that leads to repentance, often expressed in healing.
