This little heater is awesome. It puts out a lot of heat & warms small room in a hurry. Remote is easy to use & we like the temperature by degrees feature best because we can lower it to about 60 if we’re going to be gone that way the room is not ice cold when we return but yet it’s not running constantly. Where we live it does not get horribly cold as it does up north. I have not noticed any smell, it oscillates great if you like that feature. I think that it is worth the money although I agree it’s a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.

This mighty little unit does a very adequate job. Compact, short, discreetly stored - but heats a 20x20 foot room within 5 minutes. Remote control handles all features: level of heat required, on/off, swivel of unit, etc. Heat is directed upwards, not directly at ground level, thus avoiding furniture etc. if properly placed. When purchases are made blind on the internet, results are. hit or miss. I took a chance on this one and am pleased with the product. Caveat: warm dry air can create nasal congestion. A source of humidity is beneficial.

Well made. Will heat a midsize room to desert temperature. It has a thermostat setting to make it the perfect level of cozy. Compact and quite definitely energy efficient. Functions appropriately including oscillation. Does have a timer as well as three different heat settings. Overall good value for the money.

I have been using this 24 inch heater for two days now. I like the fact that the heater is lightweight and has manual controls on it. The heater is slim which is nice. The air intake on the back will be easy to clean with a vacuum. The base seems a bit cheap and like it may not hold up well. If the base fails, can I get a new one from Lasko? Not sure. As some folks have mentioned, there seem to be TOO many options for the controls on this heater. Pressing the remote buttons may not result in your desired outcome! I have no idea what I did to set it this morning but so far so good it is keeping my office warm! I bought this Ellipse to replace a 20 year old Lasko heater that the manual controls are barely working on and the remote is completely dead. A similar model is still being sold by Lasko. The issue I have with this heater is that it is nearly IMPOSSIBLE to vacuum out the dust that accumulates on the air intake screen. I tried to take the heater apart to do that but taking it apart but you still can't clean the screen. A dirty screen results in the the heater going over temp and shutting down. It appears that Lasko is trying to address this issue with several of their newer heaters that have covers which can be removed from the air intake screen such that you can vacuum out the dust. I gave 4 stars but should really be 4.5 stars. I do not like the way they set up the base and the fact that I had to install it. Update 10/20/25: After purchasing a new unit, I purchased another returned unit from AMZN resale. The second unit was listed as MINT condition. Upon arrival, it was clear that NO one from AMZN even opened the box to check the condition, they just shipped it to me. The base plate was damaged, it was dirty, all the protective materials were missing as was the instructions which means this was NOT MINT condition. I would say it was USED GOOD condition at best. I was able to get the damaged base plate to work, so plan on keeping this second unit.

Was very easy to set up. Heats and oscillates quietly and very well. The digital display allows me to select a specific temperature. I ordered one last year but it wasn't digital and the lowest setting was 65. I usually set it 58 to 62 unless I am in the room.

MY HUSBAND AND I LOVE THIS HEATER. IT KEEPS OUR LIVING ROOM NICE AND WARM. IT ALSO SAVES ON OUR HEATING BILL. IT COMES WITH A REMOTE AND TIP-OVER SWITCH AND DIGITAL DISPLAY.

Big heat in a small package. While I was repairing my old furnace, this little giant was heating my living room all day. It doesn't appear to be large enough to put out all of that heat but it warmed the room during a week of subfreezing weather and that got my attention. It has many features and I love having the ability to use a remote to control it. Now that the furnace is operational again, I'm going to miss this little fella but I know it will perform when If I need it again. You can see it in the photo on the left working hard and getting the job done in the living room.

This tower heater is perfect for a 14ftx16ft bedroom. Plenty of power to heat the 5ft space around it quickly and noticeably heat the space within about 15-20 minutes. It oscillates about a 90 degrees and the ability to adjust temperature with the remote is perfect; though you do have to aim the remote directly at the remote sensor. There is no smell of it heating up nor a lot of noise while operating.
