Great for D&D Games
I used this for a D&D game as a magic item prop that called forth a giant spider when used. It was a lot of fun and added a depth to the game and I let the player keep it for the memory of a fun day. Absolutely worth it.

Very beautiful specimen, be careful with the linkage between the thorax seems weak
Exactly how I wanted it! I am currently making a hatchet and wanted to drill a cavity through my ebony wood handle and then cast a bug in it and this black widow is perfect! I will cast it with red glow dust particles to give it an awesome look! Unfortunately i ended up with a male widow which has more of an orange tint to it’s hourglass but it is a rather incredible so specimen, and I definitely would recommend to any collector

Amazing but not a black widow
It’s a beautiful specimen and it came completely intact and at a great price. It’s a pretty good size too. The only issue I have is that it’s a brown widow not the signature black widow. With these they have a white hourglass on their belly instead of the black hourglass on their back. I feel like anybody buying this is getting it because they want a black widow spider with a red hourglass on its back. Other than that it is perfect and I do suggest buying this if your okay with the possibility of this happening.

Really disappointing, not as pictured
Okay so I ordered three items in my order from this shop. Everything was shipped & arrived quickly & was well packaged and in great condition. I really loved the first two items, and left them good reviews. However, I was really disappointed with this item. The pictures show a female black widow spider with the iconic red hourglass. What I actually received is a male black widow spider, which is much much smaller and does not have the marking. It really just looks like a regular black spider in a vial. So not only was it much smaller than expected, it was not even the same product/creature advertised. If you are selling small male spiders, say & show that. Don’t use purposely misleading photos of larger female black widows. I guess the item is alright, but a lot of what made this item cool, desirable, & unique was the actual easily recognizable female black widow spider. Since the first two items were very nice & as described, I will try ordering again from this shop & hope this was an isolated incident.

Would have been better if...
The spider was pretty sweet except for the hour glass on it wasn't red and hard to see unlike in the picture.

IMMACULENT SPECIMEN, THOUGH AN INCORRECT PRODUCT DESCRIPTION/PICTURE
I need to contact Bic Bugs qnd see if theyd be willing to exchange my BROWN black Widow for a BLACK Black Widow... I understand that she ranges in all sorts of shades of black and brown, I do. But, when u are shown a picture on Amazon of the specimens they offer and they show a SHINY, SOLID BLACK FEMALE and there's no mention in the description that, "the color of your exact specimen may vary from the one shown in this picture.", Then u should be given as close to that specimen shown as possible... I have a fiance that has a new infatuation with these spiders. I was really looking forward to being able to offer her a specimen from Bic Bugs as a Christmas gift to her. I received it promptly on the 23rd after being told it could be between January 4-11. It was a solid specimen delivered soaked in formaldehyde (i assume). But after a close initial inspection, i quickly noticed three obvious issues. 1.) The vial it was delivered in was JUNK. 2.) The seal had been broke leaving the liquid contents to seep into the packaging a bit ( a minor loss, tho it may have led to my third problem) and 3.) The BLACK Black Widow they showed in their advertisement, was now dark brown by the time she had reached her destination and without a red hourglass. This may have been the result after the leaking vial though so i hope when I reach out to Bic Bugs that theyre willing to replace this specimen for me. I will update my post as this progresses. The specimen itself though? ABSOLUTELY IMMACULENT!
