Should be in every car
It's always good to keep your tires topped off and going to the gas station to do it is annoying. They should give it for free with gas purchase, but they sometimes feign ignorance or its broken or you just don't wanna deal with asking but the price is like $2 for 30 seconds worth so you have to speed around your car with utmost efficiency like you're doing a F1 pitstop. This is a solid and easy-to-use little pump that comes in a kinda neat little tin/container and does exactly what you need it to. For most cars, where you generally want to get up to 40-50 PSI at most, it suffices just fine. (For very large vehicles that can be >50 PSI, you need to get the bigger ones but make sure you have an outlet that supports the amperage.)Finally, it's an actual, reputable brand for this sort of thing. I know you're probably tempted by all the other stuff on Amazon that's half the price from these random brand names you've never heard of. But most of the time those things are junk. Sometimes they're just a tiny, underpowered compressor surrounded by a big plastic shell with a bunch of empty space just to make it look more powerful (has happened to me). Other times the pressure gauge is faulty and miscalibrated so you need to buy a separate pressure gauge anyways. Save yourself the hassle and just get the VIAIR.

Seems to be very good quality
So far, I love it

Very Capable Low Amperage 12V Compressor.
So, I have a car without a spare (or a real cigarette lighter). This little compressor uses less than 10 amps, and has no problem reaching 50PSI.The 75P has a dedicated cooling fan that runs even when the compressor is off, allowing it to cool once you are finished. But, even running to over 55PSI, there was little heat, even in the middle of summer.

Best Insurance Against a Flat
A must-have for any car. This is in a class of its own. The alternatives are:* hardcore, functional ones good enough for off-roading that are shaped oddly (like a dumbbell), comes with a soft carrying case (meaning you can't stack things on top of it, and hard to use (connect the separate air hose to the right end, and perhaps charge it directly to terminals of the battery)* or cheap consumer ones which may never fill your tires, comes along with things you don't need attached like a flashlight, radio, Bluetooth, etc.We have actually used it on our flats and it can inflate a couple of minutes for passenger car wheel. My only gripe is that the lid doesn't stay put and is easily dislodge. It would be great if it was latched or flips open instead.

Excellent tire inflator, 100% duty cycle at 50 PSI.
Excellent tire inflator. Slightly unusual design (motor and compressor housed inside a tin can with a plastic lid), but this is compensated for by its performance and quiet operation. It is also equipped with a cooling fan (drawing 0.3 Amps and engaging after plugging into the cigarette lighter port, before the motor switch) that is needed due to the enclosed tin can lacking ventilation. The motor and cooling fan together draw 8.3 Amps when the pressure reaches 50 PSI. This company is known for quality tire inflators.

Useless
Garbage product. Poorly made and does not function well. For half the price you could get a more reliable and functional compressor for your car with a digital readout and preset psi target. The case is cheap, the feet came bent on my unit and the lid is poorly secured, falling off frequently. The analog gauge is inaccurate and is difficult to read. The stem valve is nearly impossible to get off even after disengaging the little lever. It feels like your going to rip off the tire valve stem before it finally comes free. This company may make good product but this is not one of them. Avoid this product and get something cheaper with better features that works well.

Just OK.
I needed a small compressor that doesn’t draw more than 10 amps. This does the job. But it’s just ok. The air hose is short. The power cord is just long enough. The plastic valve clamp feels flimsy, and probably won’t last. And it’s difficult to remove from the valve without letting a bunch of air out. The pressure gauge is useless... reads about 7-8 PSI higher than a known trusted gauge. It’s an OK compressor if you’re expectations aren’t too high.

Just what’s needed
Has enough power, your not waiting forever. Compact, protected, all attachments. My fir at t was stolen and got another. If you need it all the time they have bigger options
