Excellent for $56, better than I expected
I’ve been using the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed for a while now, and they are really good. A bit better than I expected, actually. The main downside is that to get the best out of them, you need Razer drivers and Synapse, which is a huge piece of software for a headset. Without it, the sound is flatter, many settings are missing, and the maximum volume is noticeably lower. With the drivers installed, though, everything is great. What I like: - Excellent wireless range - I can walk around the whole floor without losing connection. - Very good sound. - Long battery life. - Surprisingly good microphone quality, closer to a decent lavalier mic than a typical headset mic. - The mic does not retract, but it is easy to lift out of the way. - Bluetooth switching is quick and convenient. - The sound enhancements actually work, and most of them can be tuned or disabled. - Good noise isolation. - Comfortable enough to wear for most of the day. - The volume wheel is simple but very convenient. I paid $56, and for that price they are fantastic. Almost the price of some random headset from AliExpress. I originally needed wireless headphones for work. My company gave me a Jabra Evolve2 65 Flex, which costs around $230, after I waited about three weeks for it. I expected much more for that price. For me, the Razer is significantly better overall. At home I still prefer my old headset because I do not really need strong noise isolation there. On the contrary, it’s better to hear your wife. But for the office these are excellent. Things I would improve: - Make Synapse lighter and less bloated. - Make the microphone retractable. - Use fabric ear cushions instead of leatherette. - Include a compact adapter so the receiver can be plugged directly into a laptop without a cable. - The USB port on the headset is recessed quite deep, so not every magnetic USB adapter will fit. - Add proper Mac drivers. I am not a big fan of leatherette in general, and the ear cushions can get a little warm, but overall comfort is very good. The clamping force is noticeable but feels about right. Packaging is very good too. Very Razer - a bit over-the-top, but nicely done. I am very glad I checked these again before buying something like the Picun G2.

My forever headset
Well, at least, my 5+ year headset(I just need the wireless for exercise, I can plug it in to the PC if I need to)... You can hear that they took the Razer Blackshark V2 Pro's drivers and put them in these. The sound quality is superb, I can't really knock it because while it feels a little weak on bass, my Blackshark V2 X's were heavy on bass, so that is probably it. Plus, Razer Synapse makes it easy to EQ them to have a bit of a bass bump. Funny thing, EQ's work as long as you follow the 'zero' rule. Set the highest band on the EQ to 0DB and go from there. Then just turn up the headsest itself. The Blackshark V2 X and Hyperspeed are both loud enough that this is fine. Install the firmware!!! It's pretty straightforward and easy as long as you have a PC(why would you buy these otherwise?)... just do the usual firmware rules, make sure it's plugged in and staying that way etc... It's worth the trouble. When you connect it to bluetooth, you can double-tap the right button to switch between the PC wireless and the bluetooth. Both preserve the superb sound quality. I guess I'm too deaf to notice bluetooth compression! And finally, use the included USB cable if at all possible. It acted finnicky when I tried to use my own. Might try it again, as my own cord is 10 feet while the Hyperspeed's is 6 feet. But with a 70 hour battery, I suspect I'll never need to use it wired as long as I charge it every night. That's the only downside of this headset: There's no way to keep the charge between 30% and 80%, so they will die in, what, 5 years or so? Ouch. But I don't think any headset displays exact enough battery information to regulate the charge like this, so is it really a downside if it applies to everything? The microphone is a huge improvement over the Blackshark V2 X... but it's a much more expensive headset so that's to be expected to some degree. But it's really good. It's not gonna be a Snowball or Yeti, but I think that's obvious. Razer earned their 5 stars on this one. I made a spreadsheet of a bunch of headsets and their downsides before buying. This headset had the most bearable downsides(on paper before I bought it) so it's the one I chose. I chose wisely.

Razer BlackShark V2 Review: Supreme Comfort, Stellar Sound
From the moment I unboxed the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Headset, I knew I was in for an extraordinary gaming journey. This headset is not just a piece of technology; it's a game-changer in the truest sense. **1. Feather-Light Comfort:** Firstly, the 280g lightweight design is nothing short of revolutionary. Long gaming sessions can often lead to discomfort, but with the BlackShark V2, it almost feels like wearing air. The headset sits comfortably on your head, ensuring that your focus is entirely on the game, not on adjusting your headset. **2. Immersive Audio Experience:** The THX Spatial Audio is a marvel. It's like having a high-end surround sound system right in your ears. The audio quality is crisp, clear, and balanced, allowing you to hear every detail in your game. From the subtle footsteps of an enemy sneaking up behind you to the roaring engines in a high-speed chase, the sound is so lifelike, it completely immerses you in your gaming world. **3. Crystal Clear Communication:** The bendable mic is another standout feature. It's not just flexible; it's also incredibly clear. Communication with teammates is flawless, with no background noise or interference. The mic picks up your voice with such clarity, it feels like you're in the same room with your team. **4. Powerful Drivers for Dynamic Sound:** The 50mm drivers in this headset are a powerhouse. They deliver sound that's not just loud but rich and nuanced. Whether it's the subtle guitar strumming in a game's soundtrack or the booming explosions in an action-packed scene, the audio quality remains top-notch. **5. Versatile Connectivity:** The options of 2.4GHz, Bluetooth, or USB connectivity make this headset incredibly versatile. Whether you're gaming on a PC, console, or mobile device, the BlackShark V2 has got you covered. The seamless switching between devices is a huge plus, making it a great all-in-one headset for all your gaming needs. **6. Marathon Battery Life:** The 70-hour battery life is simply astounding. Knowing that your headset can last for days on a single charge is incredibly reassuring. And when you do need to power up, the USB Type-C charging is quick and convenient. **7. Sleek Aesthetic:** Lastly, the design and aesthetic of the headset deserve a mention. The sleek black look is stylish and professional, making it a great accessory for gaming setups and workstations. In conclusion, the Razer BlackShark V2 HyperSpeed Wireless Gaming Headset is a masterpiece of gaming technology. It's comfortable, offers exceptional sound quality, has a fantastic mic, versatile connectivity options, and a battery life that keeps you gaming for days. It's not just a headset; it's an indispensable tool for any serious gamer looking to elevate their gaming experience. Highly recommended!

Constant connection issues!
DONT WASTE THE MONEY!!! This device will constantly have connection issues! Ive purchased this Twice. First one, wouldnt connect to its own USB fob. Refusing to connect to its Non-Bluetooth Wireless option. I could connect via Bluetooth and get a worse sound quality (for both Inbound and outbound), or could connect Via Wired option. I bought this for a great gaming experience and to allow wireless due to needing to constantly get up for Children or other tasks and not wanting to be leashed. After running into that issue of it not connecting, I contacted Razor support, They basicly made sure I wasnt stupid and connected everything correctly, and found that after I followed all the steps on the instruction book, that they couldnt do anything more to troubleshoot and found it faulty and told me to return through Amazon. So return submitted and I figured, it seemed like a good deal and a sale going on, I bought a 2nd one. I got the 2nd one in the mail, and this time, following the same steps, YAY it connected! Worked just fine for the last 2ish months since I bought it. Then a couple days ago, I disconnected the cable/fob from my computer to take with me out of town with my laptop, Ended up not usinging. Came back, Pluged it back into my computer, and SAME issue as before... Now nolonger wanting to connect to the USB Fob. Ive done a handful of troubleshooting, and Its refusing to connect now. Dont waste your money, this thing refuses to connect and there are much better options that will for the price with less issues. Sure you can use it wired for great sound, and has a decent cable with it, but dont do it for wireless unless you dont care about the poor sound quality of a Bluetooth Connectiln.

Solid upgrade
Super solid upgrade. However for the price I just feel like they should be better. Super long battery life, and they are more comfortable and lighter weighted than my old headphones. However the instructions for connecting were not clear and my friend kept saying I came in fuzzy for awhile. I think I will keep them. However for the price I just expected a little more. Especially because everyone loves Razer

Probably the best headset
I’m surprised this headset is only 70-80 dollars considering how good it is and especially because it’s Razer. This headset is probably my favorite in terms of looks, since it looks like a pair of professional helicopter headphones while still being a clean looking gaming headset. It’s fairly big and the cups fit my ears perfectly, but if they are ever too big you can just tighten the headset. Razer’s software is amazing with this headset. It features Razer’s THX Spatial Audio which is basically realistic audio directions like most headsets have but it’s 360 degrees hyper accurate instead of coming in from 4 directions like most headsets. It’s a light headset and the arch and cups are super durable, BUT, I accidentally stepped on the cup and the volume knob came clean off, but the cup was perfectly fine. I was able to get the knob on again but just be aware that the other parts of the headset may not be as tough as others, but the frame arch and cups are troopers. The microphone extremely good! In Razer Synapse you can customize and mix the audio of the mic and sound, we’re focusing on the mic though. No matter how much I mix the audio, I can’t seem to make it sound “bad” when I’m trying to sound really deep fried and loud. 10/10 headset for the price of 70-80 dollars.

good quality, fits a big head and easy to use
Pleather on the outside of the cups, but some kind of cloth on the part that actually touches your head so it won't peel and leave pleather scraps around your ears, a volume knob right on the side, USB-C recharge, a dongle that auto connects and it fits my big head without squeezing it even though I need an L / XL hat. Very good quality on the sound, a few different modes you can switch to with a side button, and it also does bluetooth, which I really haven't messed around with much but when I was playing with it it auto connected, no problem. Haven't used the mic, but I have had this thing for a while and it is holding up well after 7 months despite very frequent use.

Works well
Worked while it lasted. Was comfy and loved the clarity of the microphone. Unfortunately that has stopped working a little bit outside the return window.. Update from an hour later- AND LIKE MAGIC IT WORKS AGAIN! I’ve been working on the mic for 3 days and like magic it just started working again. I have no words. I’m happy but also numb

Pretty decent headphones! Unbeatable for the price.
I purchased this item through an Amazon Warehouse deal, and the headphones appear to be basically brand new. The sound quality is pretty decent. Not the greatest in the world, but definitely good enough that the quality isn't distracting. Comparable to Airpods sound quality, I'd say. Great mids, but not much for bass. Microphone quality is pretty amazing, people I've talked to on voice calls note the difference in mic quality compared to my old set up. The 'hyperspeed' wireless connection is AMAZING, and the real selling point here. I can walk around the house and not lose audio connection, and even still remain on calls. They are very comfortable and very light, I wear them for hours at a time, and the battery life is unbelievably good, don't know how they do it. Highly recommend them if you can get a good deal.
