An excellent, easy to use, high quality FDM printer. Backed by a strong brand and good design
I've been 3D printing for over 10 years and use both FDM and resin printers bought from Amazon. The first, a makerbot clone lasted almost 9 years and finally got retired. I bought the flashforge adventurer 5M and wow, what a difference . Whilst the old printer worked fine, it was slow and somewhat questionable in terms of finish of the print. The Flashforge Adventurer 5M is a marked step up in every direction, fast, very fast, very easy to use. The instructions to set up are very simple, accurate and do get you printing in less than the 10 minutes stated. It's the quality that really shows, the all in one nozzle is a breath of fresh air when compared to the multiple components of other machines (including the old makerbot). Yes, a complete nozzle is more expensive than the parts, but look after the machine, use good quality filament and it will reward you with consistent, good quality prints that are are a pleasure to produce and not a fear inducing one (fear as in, will it print completely and not fall off the bed!!) The print bed is also excellent, gone are the days of blue tape, ABS goop, elmers glue etc etc. This bed gives perfect adherence every time and if you are particularly concerned about a print, the supplied Flashforge glue stick contains a liquid that goes on easily and give a very reliable base to print on. The fact that it's then simple to lift the magnetic place and flex it to get the print off, is the icing on the cake. It's also very easy to customise, so, even though this is perfect for the beginner, if you are more advanced, then you can customise this printer very easily, from the enclosure, to light, cameras etc. But importantly, there is no need to customise the hot end of the filament run (unless you go for multiple filaments).

Print anything you need!!
Got this for my son for his birthday. Easy to set up and use. Printed many things and the quality us good for the price. Some printing errors have occurred but think that is just trial and error and a learning curve

I thought I was buying a nice 3D printer, funny how wrong one can be. So sad. So bigly sad. Oh dear.
Prints are quite good when it works. Which isn't very often. 1 successful print on the day I received the machine, after that and in quick succession we had; The head crashing into the print - even printing at considerably reduced speeed. Screen freezing - the touch screen, by the way, is less responsive than a corpse in full rigor. No way to resume after pausing a print (seriously?) Inability to control Z offset properly. Inability to control print speed simply and easily. Actually, it's not possible to control anything simply and easily. Right, they are the material reasons why it's going back to Amazon tomorrow. Other than that; The Orca software would drive most noobs to insanity. I'm quite experienced with 3D printing and was quite minded to take a sledge hammer ot it. The other offered software is so basic as to be quite silly. Settings applied in the software to control the printing process mostly seem to be completely ignored by the printer. This is just another case of a shoddy product which the provider expects you to re-engineer so it works properly. I very much doubt I will buy another Flashforge product in the foreseeable future. I've actually wanted one of these for a while. Very dissappointed indeed. CoreXY printers should produce better quality prints and be very reliable, this one is neither and I am far from the only person experiencing these exact issues, I guess I'm lucky I didn't get all the other issues as well. Buy something useful instead, start with a nice bottle of wine, it'll make you feel better. A budget bed slinger is far more likely to produce a decent print. *Edit - the following day.* After the courier lied about failing to collect the return (don't even ask), Amazon refunded me and said I can keep the failed printer. Which actually made my day as I love tinkering. I then spent several hours trying to make it at least a bit useful. That was a total fail and I'm currently looking for a very high building I can drop it safely from the top of. Sadly the tinkering was largely a fail. :-( If you're quite determined to give yourself a stress related disease, you can at least alleviate your symptoms slightly, some very nice person has created a profile for Cura, it seems to work fine - so long as you ignore all the other issues. Google 'using cura with flashforge adventurer 5' (other search engines may still be available.) Have fun.

Nice upgrade over my last printer…
I’ve been using Creality CR-10 for the last eight years but before every print I was needing to level the bed (manually) and sit managing the temperature of the ailing hot end. This new Adventurer 5M is on another level, from print speed to quality. Prints which would’ve taken almost five hours are done in just over one hour with a significantly smoother finish. The WI-Fi printing works perfectly too and the phone app seems to connect to your cloud account so you can monitor the print’s progress from anywhere in the world. Well happy with this so far.

Great for young children
Great little printer. Bought for a 9 year old who’s happily downloading and slicing models and drawing little objects to then print. The printer isn’t missing any function we hoped for and is well built. I’ve stuck to using USB to move files to the printer - and that works fine for us. Using Windows is the big learning step for my grandchild but downloading, slicing and printing is seen as easy. Couldn’t get flashforge slicer to work so have loaded orca slicer which works fine and using its scale and supports feature just works for our youngster. Changing filament colours and bed leveling are happily left to the child. All models have stuck well to the bed - although there is a little impatience to pull finished models off while still hot! Have bought the enclosure kit but, after only a week of use, we haven’t yet introduced it to our grandchild to print. The cat appears to have the sense to keep away from printer! The 6 year old sibling is angling for a go… I was concerned that 3d design and printing would be too big a step for our 9 year old (given the parents’ lack of IT confidence). It’s not - it’s seen as a fun activity you can do on your own.

Decent printer for the price.
Perfectly fine printer. I have limited experience but prints come out fine when using the correct settings and decent filament. After about a year and a half of use the only fault I had was that the filement head burnt out but it was easy to replace. 4 stars because EVERY SINGLE WEEK there's a software update and when it updates it logs you out so you're forced to re-accept their terms, which in itself is untrustworthy, and they don't remember your login credentials. I use my printer on average about once a week, which means every time I go to use it, I need to install updated software then dig out my login details. Why doesn't it auto-update? So you have to reaccept the terms and conditions. In fact, I'm so sick of this, they're getting 3 stars EDIT I am so sick of the printer software logging me out. If I had known that it would refuse to see your printer unless you were logged in, I would never have bought it.

Good printer, a little noisy, but fast.
OK, I have worked my way through many lesser 3D printers. This one worked straight out of the box, and has produced many prints in the two days it's been with me. The fans are a little on the loud side, as it's an unenclosed printer, but, there's a printable body shell you can print, add a few acrylic panels, and you pretty much have the "Pro" version. YT vids show quite a drop in Db with the panels in place, so it's on the list for a home-made upgrade. Also, adding the camera. Enclosure kits and camera both on Amazon (other stores do exist, but will be slower delivery...) The supplied PLA test filament is lovely, incidentially - burnt titanium. Have also printed with "no-name" generic white PLA with no issues. Get the latest firmware, it's important, and will be detected by the contol panel as soon as it has a wifi connection. Latest Octo-Flashforge software is used to slice and send wirelessly to the unit, which stores the pattern internally, which is nifty. You can also pop the GCode file on a USB, but wireless is simple, and doesn't require a connection once the printer is doing it's thing. Self levelling is available when you send also, guaranteeing that first layer has the best chance of working. Print speed is fast. Non-printing movement is also very rapid (around 6 times the speed of printing) - this means prints come out fast, accurate BUT there is a degree of shake - so this unit needs to be firmly located on a nice solid surface... Would I recommend this to a complete novice - yep, it's pretty much lift out of the box, update firmware, install filament, upload STL and your're away. The ecosystem is somewhat locked in though, so if you are someone who wants to tweak the life out of an already fast and accurate printer, then this is probably not for you.... but for me, the guy who just wants prints to work, and to look good - this is ideal!

1st Time user
I found this printer as a 1st time user to be brilliant. Very easy to set up, all the tools supplied to get you going. The only negative is the filament that is supplied, couldn't tell which was the end, during a trial print it jammed & it transpires i put the wrong end of the filament in. Would be ideal if it was labelled. However, build quality is very good & quality of print is brilliant.

Too noise
More noise and loud than a airplane. Tried to use in the first night and will be impossible, when I was in the calibration, my roommate neighbors complained about the airplane sound

Eccezionale fin da subito, qualità professionale già alla prima stampa!
Ho acquistato la Flashforge Adventurer 5M come prima stampante 3D “seria”, e non posso che ritenermi pienamente soddisfatto. La macchina è arrivata perfettamente imballata, già semi-assemblata e pronta all’uso in pochissimi minuti. Ugello a rilascio rapido: comodo, innovativo e soprattutto veloce. Ho potuto rimuoverlo e pulirlo senza alcun attrezzo. Silenziosissima: l’ho usata in camera senza disturbi.

3 D Drucker
Sehr einfache Installation des 3-D Druckers. Bisher funktioniert alles reibungslos. Funktion mit Übertragung der 3-D Modellen steht noch aus. Als Einsteigerprodukt zu empfehlen
