Review: Shoes designed to fit your feet - I have large rectangles for feet. So normal athletic shoes always cramped my toes and over the past few years, this has caused ingrown toenails. I needed a new pair of shoes for walking around in summer weather and really enjoy this brand's barefoot style shoes so figured I'd give them a shot. After wearing them for a few days and about a dozen miles I have to say they are the most comfortable shoes I have worn and my toes don't feel squished. So if you have wide feet and are looking for function over style, these are great shoes. Will try to update in a few months to see if they last, but given the price, I'd buy them again if they give me at least 6 months of use.

A: These shoes indeed have a wide toe box. I have wide feet, and the toe box is typically an issue for me as even regular wide shoes are wide all over and my toes seem to get the short end of the stick. These are perfect and are exactly as advertised. I am really impressed.

A: They don't weigh more than other shoes, but significantly less.

A: They seem to be about the same thickness overall as most of the other sneakers of various brands that I have, although the tread doesn't have a deep pattern.  Very comfortable.

I bought these shoes because another well known top tier zero drop wide toe box shoe decided to abandon their core customer group by limiting their wide toe box options. A friend of a friend word of mouth led me to Whitin. I have been wearing these shoes for just over a month and the only negative I have is that the tongue in the left shoe does not stay aligned properly. I have had this issue with other shoes in the past as well, and it is just a matter of quality control/making sure the tongues are aligned when they stitch them in. BUT, for the money, I am very happy with the roomy toe box, cushion, and ability to wear them loose or tight when more support is desired. Based on my experience with these shoes, I have ordered a high top option from Whitin that will be suitable for wear with a uniform.
