Alright it’s not exactly small when it’s in storage mode, but it does feel pretty durable and it’s decent for the price, no major issues. The one thing might make this better is if a skirt could be included with the lantern. The larger model of this (which I also purchased) includes the skirt. It’d also be cool if this had a grid if that’s possible as an accessory

I have a tiny small home studio where I shoot, and this light takes up minimal room compared to the other choices of softboxes that I own.I haven't tried the LED panels that take up less room, but I heard the light it produces is very harsh. This on the other hand produces a very soft light.Because it takes up such little room, I leave it set up all the time, but when I take it down, it's no problem at all. Comes with a nice storage bag for portability.Bowens mount makes switching softboxes a breeze.Of the 4 softboxes, I think this is my go to light for softness and versatility.I would recommend this product if the above is what you are looking for.

I have always been a fan of this company. They put well made gear within reach of a kinder budget without really sacrificing durability. This particular style of modifier is incredibly useful and I like to use it as my main light for portrait work. It is good to use in the room as ambient light when place high above. I got this one as a backup to one that I use constantly.

This is great to have light spreading throughout the entire room. It is literally like a lantern. Great use for video and photo. I recommend this product for anyone who is doing photo and video.

Compared to what light boxes used to be like back in the day, this is such an awesome innovation. Goes up and down with no struggle whatsoever! Love it!!

A nice quality lantern softbox from Neewer.Really easy to set up and pack down, can be on and shooting in less than a minute.Give a really nice evenly distributed light diffusion which is less harsh than direct video lighting and a smaller softbox. Also great for giving a feeling of an overhead living room light if required.The materials used are all good quality with firm stitching and strong material where needed.The velcro sections allow adjustments to be made and the bowens mount is solid and being standard Bowens means this modifier can be used with probably all of your existing lighting kit.The arms have a decent amount of tension to them without making it a test of strength to assemble, it also does away with that fear of getting speared you get with self assembly softboxes.This style of quick to ready softbox is great for run and gun shooting on days when you don't have much time with the subject. Great for corporate, talking head type shoots.Also a really lovely diffuser for photography, gives a nice light fall on models and is an excellent addition to your lighting kit.The bag it comes in is a fairly standard nylon type sack, but it's a nice addition with a good carry handle and it's nice to be able to quickly stow the softbox away and put back in the kit box easily.Another great quality bit of kit from Neewer

It's a cheap softbox for a COB light.If, like me, it's just going to sit in the studio then it's perfect.If I was looking to assemble and disassemble it daily then I'd be looking for a more expensive version, but for me it's just fine.

I regularly use softboxes with LED lighting and Flash units both in the studio and for location photography. As well as being very effective for diffusing light this NEEWER Lantern Softbox can be set up and ready use in less than a minute. I find this very convenient especially when shooting in outdoor locations where being able to quickly set up and pack down lighting and move to another spot is very beneficial.I have been using this softbox with LED and Strobe lighting and find it suits both equally well. The sturdy Bowens type mount fits all of my lighting units allowing me to use the lighting which best suits my shooting requirements. It performs very well for video work and can be used to light a particular subject or provide a good spread of light over a much bigger area with an even light tail off and soft shadows.When using it for outdoor shooting I find the closed design is reasonably stable in light breeze and it is highly portable when carried in the supplied storage bag with shoulder strap. The overall construction of the softbox I received is very neat and the mechanism for locking the internal frame open is easy to operate.Overall I am very impressed by the quality, ease of use and the way this Lantern Softbox performs. It is cleverly designed and I am very pleased by the results I am getting when using it. I have no hesitation in providing this five star review and recommending.
