COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot — NO Aluminum or Plastic [6 cup]

After seeing the mold growth in my drip coffee machine I ran right to Amazon and purchased this stainless steel miracle pot. Start to finish 17 minutes and a delicious cup of joe is made. Very easy to use, the assembly makes it even easier to clean. I am very pleased with this pot. Hot and perfectly brewed!

So excited that I bought this six cup pot. . . back to the basics. . . deliciously! It's beautiful, heavier stainless steel. Nevermind camping! I have it out proudly on my gas stove. I like the fact that there are markings on the inside of the pot to help you measure exactly for a great cup. I had no trouble with leaking from the glass screw on top. . . just don't boil your water on high or put water up over the spout either. So, uh, it seems like you can successfully boil water to four cups without a problem, making this perfect for a single person. I had a timer out and perked for 7 minutes. . . PERFECT! They wisely included filters to introduce you to their product. It's safer to me than the French Press I bought where you have to be careful with the boiling water under pressure as you press down the ground coffee to brew. So power outages will not be a problem from here on out when it comes to coffee. . . but guess what? I think I like this whole experience and taste better than brewing with pods. A win in taste and affordability!

This is the best coffee maker I've ever had. There's no plastic or electrical components, and it's well made. It makes great tasting coffee. I recently switched from a drip to an electric percolator, but the heating element broke within 4 months of use. It's this unfortunate event that inspired me to purchase this type of percolator. I couldn't be more happy with this product and it's a veteran owned company, which is a plus for me.

I’ve really been enjoying this 6-cup percolator. The reliability has been great so far, and it feels like a well-made little coffee maker. One thing to keep in mind is that although it is labeled as a 6-cup percolator, you can only fill it up to the holes at the bottom of the pouring spout. In reality, that means you’re making closer to about 2 1/2 cups of coffee. For me, this actually works perfectly because I’m truly a one-cup-of-coffee drinker at this point and don’t need a large amount. However, if you are someone who wants more than one large cup or about two medium-sized cups of coffee, I would recommend getting a larger percolator. The brew speed is good. Following the directions, it takes about 10 minutes from start to finish on low to medium heat. Of course, the timing can vary depending on how strong you like your coffee and your preferred brewing style. The noise level is much better than I expected. I wouldn’t consider it noisy at all. It does make some sounds while brewing, but honestly, I enjoy the little percolating noises because they add to the experience of making coffee. The lid functions well and stays in place while brewing. The design feels simple and practical, and I haven’t had any issues with it. The color is also really nice and adds a classic look to my kitchen. As far as value for the money, I think it depends on what you’re looking for. For someone like me who only needs a small amount of coffee, it’s a great fit and does exactly what I need. However, because the actual capacity is much smaller than the “6-cup” label suggests, I’m not sure it would be the best value for someone expecting a full 6 cups of coffee. Overall, I love this percolator for my needs. It makes great coffee, looks nice, is easy to use, and the gentle brewing sounds are something I actually enjoy.

I would start by saying I use this mostly for camping applications over an open flame. I do occasionally use it at home. The only two cons I can see are 1) The spot welds on the handle seem like they could be a weak point. Mine have been fine, and have held up great. But, they could be a break point if mis-handled. 2) READ THE INSTRUCTIONS pertaining to the glass top. It does specifically say to leave it slightly loose. The metal and glass can expand and contract differently. This can lead to the glass cracking. I tighten it and back it off 1/4 turn. It's never been an issue. I also oiled the handle so it hold up to fire better, and it's been great. It will discolor some over open wood fires. This is fine for me, and adds a nice patina. You could always buy a steel enameled one if appearance is that important. The rivets on the handle do get hot. Hello?! Not an issue for me. It is expected. I recommend using a peculator filter, but that's just my preference. This is a durable item and represents a good value to me. Mine is slightly dented and discolored over the months of use and I kind of like it that way!

This has been a really fun addition to my household coffee setup. I know percolators aren’t considered the “best” brewing method by a lot of coffee enthusiasts these days, but there’s definitely something nostalgic and enjoyable about the old-school flavor profile they produce from time to time. The unit itself brews well and makes enough coffee to comfortably get me through cooking and eating a weekend breakfast without needing a second batch. That larger volume is one of the biggest advantages compared to some of the smaller manual brewing methods I normally use. For everyday coffee I still tend to use drip or pourover methods, but this is great to pull out occasionally when I’m in the mood for that classic diner-style percolated coffee flavor. One feature I specifically appreciate is the glass percolator knob on top instead of plastic. Small detail, but it feels nicer and more durable. A couple downsides though: * the handle could definitely be better designed * I’m not a huge fan of the included synthetic filters The filters work fine, and my frugal side means I’ll probably use up the included pack, but I’ll be switching to paper filters afterward because that’s just my preference. Overall though, this has been a great purchase and does exactly what I wanted it to do. If you enjoy classic percolated coffee and want a larger stovetop brewer for occasional use, this is an easy recommendation.

I like the simplicity of using a percolator. I was using a Pyrex glass percolator that I had acquired when I bought a property years ago. Not many exist anymore as they are almost entirely glass & date from the 1950-s to early 60's. It worked great & was mesmerizing to see it in action, as the glass allowed one to view the percolating action of the bubbles forming & going up through the glass percolating tube. Unfortunately one day I heard a loud "pop" as I was making coffee & discovered that the base of the percolating tube had shattered for some reason. I bought this model to replace it. It's very well made, despite being manufactured in China; wish it was made in America! One reviewer incorrectly stated that it's made in Montana. Yes, Bozeman & Butte are towns in Montana that Coletti named their models after; but it says right on the box that it's made in China. The entire coffee pot is stainless steel; other than the replaceable glass screw in top & the two wooden parts of the handle. The percolating tube, basket, etc. is stainless; unlike some other brands that are made of aluminum or plastic. I'm a welder & master craftsman & I have large hands. When I first got this, I felt that they should have made the handle larger, because unless I used the skills honed & perfected from playing the game "Operation" as a kid, my hand would touch the top or bottom parts of the metal handle. And the two wooden scales attached to the metal handle are even with the metal edges of the handle, rather than being larger & wider than the metal. "Why did they make the handle so thin, & the handle opening so small?" I would've made it with a larger opening, & thicker handle to make it easier & safer to grasp. So the first time that I used it, I picked it up with an oven mitt, but that made it even more difficult to get my hand on the handle properly. So the next time I lightly touched the handle, including metal parts of it, to "test" the temperature of it. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that the entire handle portion of the coffee pot only gets warm; the wooden scales & the metal band of the handle do NOT get hot at all! So fear not; you can pick up the coffee pot without using an oven mitt or pot holder. Overall, it's decent quality & brews very well & quite fast; only takes a few minutes to brew perfect cups of coffee!

COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot (9-Cup) Review I purchased the COLETTI Bozeman Percolator Coffee Pot because I wanted a coffee pot with no plastic or aluminum touching my coffee. The coffee it brews is rich, hot, and flavorful, and I appreciate the classic percolator design. However, I do have a concern. The top lid feels very flimsy compared to the rest of the pot. While the body appears sturdy, the lid doesn't seem as durable and makes me wonder how well it will hold up with regular use. One of the main reasons I bought this coffee pot was the company's claim that it is made from 18/8 food-grade stainless steel with no aluminum or plastic in the brewing components. According to COLETTI, all coffee-contact parts are stainless steel. That was a big selling point for me, and I hope the product truly lives up to those specifications over the long term. So far, the coffee quality is good, but durability remains to be seen. I'm especially watching how the lid and hinge hold up over time. If those parts prove durable, this could be an excellent coffee pot for daily use. Independent testing by Food & Wine also praised the Bozeman's all-stainless construction but noted that some parts, including the hinge and handle design, may be potential wear points. My overall rating: 3.5 out of 5 stars. Pros: No plastic or aluminum in the brewing path, according to the manufacturer. Makes strong, flavorful coffee. Attractive stainless-steel design. Easy to use and clean. Cons: Lid feels flimsy. Long-term durability is still questionable. Price is a little high if the lighter components don't hold up. Final Thoughts: I like the coffee this percolator makes and appreciate the stainless-steel construction. My biggest concern is the lightweight lid, which doesn't inspire confidence. I'm hoping it proves more durable than it feels because, aside from that issue, the pot has a lot of potential. Time will tell how well it stands up to everyday use. ☕️🙏
