No frills wireless
The unit is smaller and lighter than I thought but it's basically just a Bluetooth receiver so it doesn't need to be big. Came with 2 USB cables, paired easily to my Pixel and started right up on the stock head unit of my 2017 Honda Accord Touring. This comes with a little piece of double sided tape so you can secure it in place to keep it from jostling around. My phone was constantly disconnecting from Android Auto when plugged directly into the head unit and I'm hopeful that securing and isolating will keep that from happening. I just got it tonight and no issues so far, will update if anything changes long term. Only real downside is the instruction booklet that it comes with. It's tiny and so is the print, very hard to read and the pictures seemed pretty low resolution for the size. Fortunately it's pretty intuitive to use. Knocked off 1 star because of the instruction booklet.

No Bluetooth signal
Maybe I got a faulty unit, I don't know. The wifi works just fine, I can connect to it, see the options and try to update the device. But there is just no Bluetooth signal, so the device is useless.

Set up and Working in Minutes
I originally tried a different make Android Auto wireless and could not get it to connect to my Android Auto, sent it back. I decided to try this product based on reviews. It arrived in 24 hours, package intact. The directions were adequate. I used the enclosed USB to USB-C and waited for a connection. Nothing, would not light up. I switched the cable to my own and tried again, immediately had a blue light, paired it to the phone's Bluetooth, connected it to the phone's Wi-Fi, and it was showing AA on the car screen within minutes. The remote car toggles work fine, screen and sound are identical to a wired connection. When I enter the car with my phone in my pocket and start the car, it takes about 10/15 seconds to connect and start playing music. I am very pleased with the quality and the ease of installation, highly recommend the wireless Android Auto connector. It creates a perfect situation for Android Auto use in town on short trips to the store etc.

Works as advertised, why not use a regular USB C cable?
Setup was pretty easy. The instructions are really tiny, so I scanned them for you to read easier. Minus 1 star for not using a normal USB C connection. The blade on the USB C is longer than a standard USB C and the plastic housing prevents you using any USB C cables other than the one provided. If the supplied USB C cable fails, you will need to get another from the company or cut away the plastic housing to use a regular USB C cable. Why inconvenience customers by design? Previously had AAwireleess, had it for two years and it died on me. So, I purchased this one. I prefer the design of AAwireless (more compact, can use any USB C cable) and AAwireless app over having to access setting from a web browser. This one is cheaper & seems to connect just as quick, hopefully it last.

WORKS FLAWLESS! 26 seconds boot-up time
I have purchased 4 different kinds of wireless AA auto/CarPlay 1. Ottocast U2-AIR Pro is pretty expensive, but works great. Boot-up time is fast fast. Virtually no waiting period. Solid device, does NOT freeze. 2. THIS item (made by Lesaps). Cheap, works great, does not freeze, boot-up time is 26 seconds. 3. FitAlly Wireless CarPlay Adapter. Boot-up time is very long, one minute or over. It is unpredictable if it's going to work or freeze during boot-up. 4. And another generic Wireless CarPlay / Android Auto Adapter from Aliexpress, which also takes a very long boot-up time, over a minute. It is unpredictable if it's going to work or freeze during boot-up. Over 50% of the time, it gets stuck on boot-up, and the mic does on the Carplay or AA does not work most of the time.

Flawless so far on two long trips
Nothing like this existed when I bought my VW in 2020 so I was surprised to see so many different devices for sale now. I read all the reviews of various adapters and found them mixed, so I was a little skeptical when I settled on this one. I'm happy to report that this adapter has worked wonderfully and predictably without hitch. It's no different from the stock wireless AA I used in a Chevy Bolt that I recently rented. About the same boot time, somewhere around 30 seconds or less. When you turn off the car, the unit will stay alive for about 30 seconds, move to some sort of ready-to-connect mode with a flashing light for another 30 seconds and then shut off, so no need to worry about phantom battery drain. It's possible that other units are just like this one, but I can at least attest that this one is very much worth the $50 I paid.

Not even 2 months - not connecting anymore.
This item was purchased near the begning of October. Had no issue getting it to connect. I made sure to do what was listed in the instructions about connecting it up and checking for firmware updates... It said it was up to date. Now not even 2 months later and it acts like it is connected to phone but no android auto shows up like the car interface is not seeing the device plugged into it. Defective device? Very expensive device to not even get less than 60 days of use.. Hopefully the company will do something about this since the Amazon return period has passed. Would not recommend this to others at this time..
