Great for spooky!
I love the shade of this filament. It worked great for my Halloween pass outs that I printed. I used this for the Cinderwings Tiny Spider and had no issues with it being brittle and no clogs or anything like that. It’s shiny, spooky, eye catching, and fun. No issues with stringing so moisture content was fine. Altogether, it prints smoothly and is a nice addition to my filament collection.

Easy to use
This 3D printer filament works great! It feeds smoothly through the printer without tangling, and the prints come out clean with consistent quality. The layers adhere well, giving a strong finish without warping or stringing. I also appreciate that the colors are vibrant and true to what’s advertised. It’s durable, easy to work with, and perfect for both small detailed projects and larger prints. Definitely a filament I’ll keep using for future projects.

Really nice quality print
I ran this through my Filament dryer for a few hours and ran a large complicated print on it. It came out awesome. The color is really great and print quality was some of the best I have used. Slowed my print speed way down and raised the temp a bit too and it came out super glossy.

Great color, easy to print
This PLA does the job. I dried it after opening, and had 0 stringing on my test model. It's very pretty, and fairly true to color compared to the product images (my image looks more blue, but it's definitely a little more green irl, like the listing). It's a little translucent, but I think it looks good.

Great filament for your Wicked fan!
This filament printed easily and looks fantastic in the Wicked style colors. We printed a fidget in this color, and it's really cool to see the silky red or green changes as it catches the light. There were no stops or clogs while printing, no stringing issues, stuck well to my hot bed, and I would definitely buy it again!

Glossy easy to work with gray
Color isn’t as shiny as I wanted. More like a glossy gray. Easy to work with tho. Would work well when going for a metal look.

Excellent Filament, But Not Gold
Elegoo is my goto for PETG and PLA filament. They switched to cardboard spools, which I find suboptimal. I have found it well-worth the effort to respool paper spools on to plastic spools for my Bambu Labs X1C AMS. This filament currently arrives on a plastic spool, which is very much appreciated. Print quality is very good and I get consistent results at 200 mm/s for surfaces and 350 mm/s for infill. Post-processing is minimal. Slowing the print speed down does produce shinier results, but this is the nature of silk filaments. Increasing print speed still results in great prints, but at loss of the shininess that makes silk filaments attractive. My only criticism is that the gold color is not gold. Product photos show an accurate depiction of the color. It's more like a shiny dark yellow. It produces terrific results, but definitely not gold. If you are happy with the color, go for it. Elegoo truly produces some of the best filaments available, so you won't go wrong.

High Quality and Beautiful Filament!
We have ordered and reordered this ELEGOO filament NUMEROUS times as it is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE. When you have the correct settings for you printer AND have the bed calibrated and leveled correctly, this filament prints BEAUTIFULLY! Printing in a Bambu labs P1S with AMS unit.

This Elegoo PLA Silk filament prints very smoothly and consistently. Extrusion was clean, layer adhesion was solid, and it was easy to dial in using standard PLA settings. The finish looks good, though the color is a bit less satin/silky than expected. It’s still attractive, just more subtle than some high-gloss silk PLAs. Overall, this is high-quality, reliable filament that I’d gladly buy again.

First, I need to state that I have used a LOT of Elegoo filament. Well in excess of a dozen spools of their PLA product in black, white, and gray. So I pulled the pin on a purchase of two spools of their Galaxy PLA in this Peacock Blue, as well as Black. The good news is that it comes in a plastic spool, not cardboard like most of their other PLA filament. The fit is loose if using a Bambu Lab AMS Lite, but I use spool locks which keeps it from sliding off. So no problem, and love the plastic spool. The colour of the filament is outstanding. Beautiful, and it gives a sparkling appearance. Very elegant. But the bad news, and why I'm giving it a four star rating... is because unlike all their other PLA products that I've used with flawless execution and zero printing problems... this Galaxy product has manufacturing defects in filament diameter consistency. It has lumps and blobs which jam up printing. So the printer will stop when it jams up, you reverse the filament, cut off about an inch from the end, re-feed it and you're printing again. For a while. So I'm torn, and a bit disappointed. I love the look of the printed products I make with it. But the constant jamming issues while printing are a problem. Maybe it's only a bad spool and a brief issue with their production quality control for that batch? I hope that's the case, as I would purchase it again. But it's a royal pain in the backside when you have a long duration print running, and come down to check on progress to find that it's gummed up again and stopped. Frustrating. Would I recommend? Yes, with caveats. Great price, wonderful printed appearance... but understand that you may have printing issues with it. Your prints won't be ruined, as the printer will resume when the clog is removed, but it needs babysitting. So long as you understand and accept that, you'll be happy with your printed output.
