Shun Classic 5 Piece Block Set DMS0520, Black

These are the nicest knives I've ever owned. I'm almost afraid to use them because they are so beautiful to look at, but you WILL use them. They are super-sharp, gliding through meat and vegetables alike as if they weren't there. My only real complaint is that I've since come to find that there are knives of equal quality to be had for less. Honestly, I don't care though. In this case, you're paying for name brand recognition a little bit, but you also get yearly free sharpenings. Overall I'm incredibly pleased with my purchase. They cut will, keep an edge well, and look great in my kitchen.

I'm excited to use my new Shun knives. They look amazing. I have no doubt that the knives will work beautifully. I'm disappointed that the wooden knife holder arrived damaged. It looks like it was used before. The entire right side of the face has been ground down as if it was sanded. Not worth my time to return everything and wait to receive a new one.

The Shun knives are incredibly sharp and make cutting/chopping and carving tasks a pleasure.
