I’m a non-horse who most definitely recommends MSM. I’ve been through an entire 4 pounder of this product, and about half of a competitor’s 5 pounder since 2015; I have the 10 pound tub of this queued up in my Wish List right now. It does not appear to deteriorate over time at normal room temperature. My main form of consumption is to take a heaping teaspoon tossed into a glass of juice, where it basically disappears. However, I’m the type of guy who doesn’t immediately declare an unfamiliar taste “horrible” just because it’s different. I’ve heard people say that even about tofu, which has next to no taste at all, and I don’t indulge in that nonsense. I often take that same heaping teaspoonful directly in my mouth, let it mostly dissolve for several minutes, then wash the rest down with something. MSM has a slightly bitter flavor, and I do mean SLIGHTLY. It’s not going to shrivel your mouth into an instant prune. If you get a gum or tooth ache, try that direct to mouth technique right on top of the ache, once or twice over 2 - 4 days, and you may be pleasantly surprised. I have a chronic circulation problem that kicks up lots of excess inflammation in my body, and MSM most definitely helps me back that off so I have less of the dull aching that impedes my sleep, especially in combination with an acetaminophen pill. Often, it knocks down the nose-jamming congestion that forces me awake too. There’s a book, “The Miracle of MSM”, available that I’ve read twice, and it’s well worth a look. Go ahead and take a mouthful of MSM like a man, and check it out! Non-man non-horses, keep in mind that “like a man” is just a figure of speech, and it does not take a man to take it like one!

There was all kinds of stuff in it like hay chaff and such. Really dirty. Very disappointing! Mostly small but some was like one inch long hay pieces.

I've bought this before and it's good and reliable. The horses don't mind the taste. However, there is a lot of empty space in the container and I have to reship it overseas. Why not come up with ziplock bags for this size? Less plastic also.
