Accuracy isn’t 100% but I prefer it over a chest strap
The only downside to this product - as mentioned by other users - is that there sometimes is a lag to HR changes which leads to inaccuracies. I haven’t had this lag on runs, but on any cardio / strength workouts it can be up to 2 minutes. HOWEVER - I still prefer this to a chest strap and despite owing two different (and very accurate) chest straps I only use this one now. Reasons behind this being - it’s much faster to put on, it’s so comfortable you don’t even notice it, the lag doesn’t happen all the time and I am happy o sacrifice 20 calories counted for the comfort of the strap. I love the fact that it is rechargeable and it comes with two separate straps. I’ve had no issues with the straps either - they seem durable and good quality. I’d recommend this over a chest strap unless you are hyper-OCD over accuracy

The Best HR Sensor EVER!
So much better than the sweaty under-moob chest straps that are more commonly available. Easy to slip on to the forearm, battery life is great. I’d say my only criticism is that the charging dock is dedicated for use by this device, so DON’T LOSE IT! Its USB so no problem finding somewhere to plug that in these days. Comes with a spare strap which i’ve not had to use yet. Cost is up there but its a quality bit of kit. I think you should treat yourself to the best 😃👍

Connects to Zwift .
In the past I have experienced problems with HRM ( wrist and chest strap )not connecting to my Zwift app or dropping out . So far no problems . I would have preferred to have paid less for a reliable monitor. 12/07/25 After use over the past few weeks this monitor has connected every time . The app is also very accurate and easy to use .

Reliable accurate and easy to use
I bought this to use on a Peloton bike and it works really well. It's easy and comfortable to wear and I find it almost as accurate as a chest strap. Not quite as responsive, but much easier to use. The rechargeable battery lasts a long time between charges and I haven't had any problems after six months of regular use. I occasionally use this monitor for running along with the free Wahoo Fitness app. It works well and is a reliable basic fitness app.

Strap is fine!
I reluctantly purchased this TICKR FIT due to others reported issues with the quality of the strap. I've use this for indoor turbo training 4 times per week for the past 2 months and the strap is showing no signs of wear. Other than that, the unit works as expected, it's accurate and it's rechargeable so no need to keep a stock of batteries as with the chest strap TICKR. The unit is not quite as quick to respond to changes in heart as the chest strap version, however that is because it uses an optical sensor as opposed to electrical signals that most chest strap heart rate monitors use to measure pulse, including the TICKR. Overall, I recommend this especially if you do not want to have to wash the strap as I have to do with the TICKR chest strap version, which starts to smell after a couple of vigorous workouts.

Tick Tock
Didn’t like having to put a cold chest heart rate strap on, this is so much better. Seems to be accurate and works really well with Zwift, Elite Justo smart trainer and Garmin Fenix. The fact it’s rechargeable is also very convenient rather than fiddling around with tiny batteries. I wear it just below my elbow and generally stays put although during extra sweaty rides it has slipped just a couple of times but is easy to adjust if necessary. Ive read it works just as well above the elbow as well although I haven’t tried this yet. Recommended.

Worked brilliantly for me.
I’ve had this heart rate monitor since March 2019, over 5 years and I use it for running 2-3 times a week. In that time, it’s mostly worked faultlessly and I’ve never had any issues with it until recently. It connects straight away to my Garmin 955 watch and stays connected for as long as I need it to. I hardly ever charge it as the battery lasts forever. It’s comfortable and I pay no attention whatsoever to where I wear it. I usually have it on my upper arm and never have any issues. It works equally well no matter how I position it or how tight the strap is or isn’t. I also use it on my Watt bike and it also connects without issue. The only issue I have is that after all of this use, the arm strap is starting to fray now and separate, making it harder to adjust. I’ve also started to notice some inconsistencies over the past few weeks so I’m now thinking of replacing it with something newer. When I came back to the listing to look at recent comments, I was really surprised to see other reviewers having so many issues. I previously owned a Polar H10 chest strap and it only lasted a few months before it stopped connecting and was much less convenient to wear. Maybe I was lucky with my TIKR, maybe others were unlucky but I simply can’t fault this monitor over the last 5 years. I am however wondering if recent models have changed and are not so good?
