Dallmayr Prodomo,Original German roast ground coffee 500g

I first drank this coffee when I worked in Deutsche Bank in Hamburg, back in the late 1980's. This is one of my favourite quality German products which I am very pleased to see is now being sold over here. What pleases me most about it, is that I can drink it black and not need to eat anything sweet with it because the bitterness has been taken out; unlike so many other brands. My friends even asked me to make some more because they liked it so much. Of course, they had milk and sugar in theirs. It is ideal for young and old alike because of its smooth and full-bodied flavour and it can be drunk at any time. However, like me, many like to drink their coffee whilst enjoying a nice piece of cake in the afternoon. Also it is economical because you don't need to use so much coffee to achieve the smooth full flavoured effect. I use two level Melitta spoonfuls for 5 cups on the coffee machine. Other people may prefer it somewhat stronger. It is after all subjective. Anyway this product is one of life's small affordable luxuries I hope never to have to go without again.

Quite the smoothest, non-bitter coffee I think I have ever had. This is my go to coffee from this point forward!

The trouble with writing a review of coffee, is that it is ultimately personal taste preference. I drink a lot of coffee and it took me my entire life to find a coffee that I will choose over anything else. This is that coffee! It is not too heavy, I consider it smooth in taste and I will never go back to anything else. My recommendation is, ignore coffee reviews on Amazon, pick a few variants and make your own decision. However, in my opinion. This is the BEST! Good luck in your coffee hunt.

This is usually a delicious coffee but the one I received definitely was not from the freshest batch - lacking in aroma and the coffee almost had no crema! Watch out from who you buy.

dallmayr is one of the best german coffee, its kinda premium , they even got vending machines, and tastes better than most restaurants serve. prodomo is the long roast type, has a better taste than normal one. i really liked the distinct taste and this coffee was one of things i miss from my years in germany. havent tried yet, i need to use up my other first. the price in germany was under 6 euros, well kinda 6 pound cause they exchange pounds same low rate like uk the euros. packaging and vacuum looks all right. i edit this if its not what i remember but i think it will be awesome.

very tasty coffee, really ground coffee, no any huge peaces of beans in coffee what usually it is in each coffee, and smells as well very nice

Good coffee but then I love German coffee , it's grind real fine and of course the taste is good, I trust German coffee more than I do American they have stricter rules and they don't use any GMOs or nothing in there products or any kind of food, so you don't have to worry about chemicals,
