Cubetek Hd Media Player 1080P (Black)

I am using Cubetek HD Media player for one week. About the Player- Its very small and in front it has one usb port, one sd card slot, blue led light and IR sensor for remote. On backside it has power input, HDMI and AV output(3.5 mm single output no separate video and audio output). Accessories- Power adaptor, remote and AV cable. No HDMI is included. Connectivity- It can be connected to HDTV with HDMI and to old CRT with AV cable. Media can be played from pendrive, memory card or portable HDD. Performance- It plays all formats of video, audio, pictures and audio books. I have tried many video and audio formats and codecs and it plays all of them very well. AVI, DIVX, XVID, MPEG-1, MPEG-2(PAL/NTSC), MPEG-4, H264, MOV, RMVB, MKV, WMV, TS, M2TS, BDMV, MP3, AAC, WMA, AC3, DTS. Suppots all resolutions of videos and movies- 480p, 480i, 576p, 720p, 1080p. It plays 1080p FULLHD movies very well and there is no lagging at all. Supports PAL, NTSC, 720p, 1080p output. Picture quality is excellent. Remote is not very good.Response time of remote is long. Overall its a very good product.

I had been using the Seagate GoFlex Home Theatre+ media player for many years. The remote stopped working. Could not find a replacement. Seagate has stopped shipping the system I think. So I was looking for an alternative. Came across this. It had mixed reviews but I decided to buy it anyway. Pleasantly surprised at the small size packed with good picture quality and very responsive remote. Overall I am happy. My mkv files also play well(which was an issue with Seagate). The subtitles also show without having to select a sub file once you enable them and you can adjust the sub text size too! The only thing that is cumbersome is to navigate to the folder every time you start the device. I mean if the other slots like SD card slot is empty with no card in it, and the only device attached is a external hard disk, it should directly take you to the root folder of the disk. No need of everytime for you to select: USb or SD. Then once you select USB, it shows the disk attached, say, Passport. Click it and the come up the folders. so a lot of extra clicks!

This is a handy player, and plays pretty much every format except for the latest H.265 encoding - but I don't know of a player that will play these anyway. The picture quality is great, as well. Also, the remote issues that other reviewers are talking about appears to be fixed. It's not the most responsive remote, still, but nowhere near as bad as other reviews say. The one I recd also looks diff from pics in the manual, so they've def changed that for the better. HOWEVER. There are a few issues that are annoying. Back to the remote - the buttons are not intuitively placed at all. And there are no symbols for play/pause/stop/fwd/rwd ,so you have to read the very tiny writing on every button to find out where they are till you're used to it. Also, sometimes when I first start a vid there is no sound. The sound also often goes off after rewinding/fwding. Then I have to stop and start again for it to come back. There is no option to start playback from the beginning for a vid. It automatically resumes. So if multiple people are watching a vid at diff times, you need to use the more elaborate step of GoTo, and set the time back to 00:00:00 to start from the beginning. I did mail the seller re this, and they said the option was causing glitches in the player, so they changed the firmware to remove it. Another thing that doesn't work is deleting/moving files. I just get a 'Delete failed' / 'Move failed' error. All things considered, though, these are minor inconveniences that just need getting used to, and it's a decent little player.

I really surprised to see the product when I got it, because of it's size. As described it is just fit into your palm! I don't want to put all Pros and Cons here as it is already reviewed by too many persons. As mentioned in all reviews it is a very good product with low price and supports all type of formats. No doubt. The remote is also not bad.It does what it should. I have purchased this especially for my Mini Projector(Brookstone) which needs HDMI input. I was using my lapTop for playing movies which needs too much gadgets for control. This player overcomes that. In this player only one HDMI and one AV output is provided and if you use HDMI automatically the AV O/P will not work and vice versa. But the inbuilt speaker in the projector will not give much volume and I used to get extra volume through Laptop speakers or USB speakers. If we use an extra speaker from the AV O/P after removing the HDMI cable it will give a fantastic sound and volume and we can use it only for audio files through pen drive or HDDs. So I would like to contact the supplier to get rid of this issue and to connect the HDMI cable with an extra speaker. Put together this a very good product. Thanks for Amazon for the quick delivery. Worst product !!!!!! Don't Buy....!!!!! Remote doesn't work properly.Audio quality is very poor,even amplifier can't boost the volume. Guys whoever thinking to buy this product don't do it ....you can't return this product and it will be waste of your valuable money.Cubetek product very bad quality Don't go for it.
