Proxima Direct® Mini Displayport to HDMI adapter - for MacBook Pro Air iMac etc - With Audio Thunderbolt Compatible

Wow I have had this for a few months now and it's brilliant, I had the belkin adaptor prior to this I believe it was £25 from an apple store it lasted about two months before dying and it was a slow decline throughout that period.This product however is still going strong and I have had no issues at all, I use this daily plugging and unplugging it throughout and it's still as new, the cable it still firm and maintained it's shape (no kinks) and the adaptors are still in great condition.I would recommend this over any other product out there especially over belkin adapters.

The delivery of this item was blistering; I ordered it in the early hours of Sunday morning and it was through my letter box by Tuesday.It worked perfectly well connecting my MacBook Pro to my LG Plasma TV but not to my Samsung LED (for which it was intended for as a second screen). This was certainly not the fault of the adaptor as HD video and sound work perfectly well with the LG. Back to VGA for me unfortunately...For the price (a very reasonable amount) it's certainly worth the money to try it out, I'd be pretty upset if I had spent £20 on the official Apple one, but for this price it was no big deal, I just now have a spare adaptor with little use...Build quality seems fair and as written above video quality was good as as was sound (FYI - If using a MacBook Pro make sure to set your audio output to HDMI or you will get nothing but silence even if video is displayed).

This adapter is precisely what i was after. Seeing as Apple don't offer such product other than the over proved Belkin alternative, this hits every mark!It's very simple to use and as a new user to the Mac operating system i had it working with no problem at all. A couple of settings had to be changed to get it working precisely how i wanted it but that was a very simple process.There are some comments regarding the audio not working, however there is a setting that needs to be changed to get it playing through the secondary display (hold down alt and click on the speaker icon at the top right of the screen and select the secondary display).

I have a mac book pro from 2010, and this adaptor was advertised to connect the MacBook to an HDMI input socket on a TV, for streaming or viewing saved video files. Well, it didn't work. There's not much more to say. It is an absolutely useless purchase to me. And if you are looking for an adapter to fulfil the same purpose, my advice is definitely DO NOT BUY THIS ONE. It should be removed from the market, and Amazon should refund my money, including postage. Fat chance!

This is the second Mini Displayport-to-HDMI adapter that I have had to buy. The first was a 'premium' cable from a well known brand, which cost me £25, and left me very disappointed. It was bulky, partly to make room for a great big logo, and the casing split apart after about six months. To be fair, I was using it on a daily basis, but I would expect a premium cable to last for years.Since that first purchase I read a bit more about the topic, and I came to realise that when it comes to a digital signal, there is not really any point in paying extra for a brand name. Digital transmission is all ones and zeroes - that information will either get through perfectly, or not at all. Granted, there are exceptions for very long cables, but we're only talking about a few inches here!So if a fancy gold-plated cable will not guarantee a better picture, the only thing worth paying for is build quality. I have to admit, I was really surprised to see that the build quality of this cable was *better* than the brand-name cable. It feels solid, and the seams are completely invisible (it feels like a solid lump of high density plastic). Also, a further unexpected bonus was that (despite the picture here), there was no logo on the cable at all, which makes it look classy and understated.Picture quality is, needless to say, absolutely perfect. I am very happy with this purchase. If I ever lost this, I would buy the same model again.

I bought this about 6 months ago and it's worked very well until about a week ago.I was very happy with it as it did the job perfectly and was a LOT cheaper than the official apple ones. Also a lot of reviews mention a lack of audio, but i'm pretty sure that they just need to change their settings.So, a week ago the problem started, the connection will randomly cut out for a couple of seconds and then reconnect. This happens every 30 seconds until you reposition the adapter in some random way. It's not a serious problem but means you have to faff about for a minute or so beforehand.Overall I'd still buy this again.

Worth the investment for the price and quality. Only issue is that sometimes the connection is loose between the HDMI male and the female part. If there are not many plugging movements, then it should be stable.

Hate to leave negative feedback or comments but this I have to. I've bought 3 in the space of 5 months. They are fab when they work but they seem to stop working very quickly. You can be midway through a program or simply turn on the following day and it be broken. 2 stars because it is great when it works but they don't last

Performance au top à un tout petit prix fonctionne à la perfection avec mon macbook pro besoin d'un adaptateur mini display port vers HDMI n'hésitez pas!

je l'ai acheté le 6 janvier cela fait donc 4 mois et il ne marche deja plus, le delai de retour est depassé depuis longtemps dommage c'était tres utile
