Very interesting information
On my 10th day with pain and swelling in my left big toe I did a couple of things. I went to the doctor who was really undecided as to whether my condition was gout or not, but sent me to the lab to have blood drawn to test my uric acid levels. The result of that test was that my uric acid levels were on the high side of normal. The doctor also prescribed Indomethacin which I've been taking 3 times daily - now for 2 and 1/2 days (50mg). I also ordered Purge. I received them 2 days ago and have been taking 4 capsules daily for the past 2 1/2 days. I began a 500mg dose of vitamin C about 5 days ago. Lastly, I ordered from Amazon, Berkeley salivary uric acid test strips.I got the results of the blood test on Wednesday (2 days ago), and the results were that my levels were in the high side of normal. I took the Berkeley test and it was the same. There are 3 scales on the saliva test. Healthy adult levels, High elevated adult levels, and a middle level that has no label. I'm going to assume that the middle level represents something between normal and high levels. I took that test and my levels, according to it, were in the mid range. Not high, but not normal so I'm going to say that it agreed with the blood test that the physician ordered for me.2 days ago I began the prescribed anti-inflamatory drug as well as Purge. Along with the vitamin C. Yesterday was the first day in 11 that I could actually walk without extreme pain. This morning, luckily, I don't have to go to work, so I don't have shoes on and I'm seated, but I can say that the swelling is down - not gone - and the pain that I feel in my big toe is around a 2. At the 10th day point, the pain rating was a 10 - a very big 10. I wanted to get the saliva test so that I could test uric acid levels at my convenience and at an expense less than a physicians office and lab would charge me. Also, I felt that the anti-inflamatory would certainly help with the swelling and pain, but would have no affect on my uric acid levels, so the test might give some insight on the levels and possibly tell me if Purge was working or not.I took the saliva test this morning and the levels were down. The color on the test strip was between the healthy adult levels and the mid range. Still a little elevated, but certainly not high and certainly not in the mid range. I'll take it again in a couple of days to see if I'm down to the healthy range.A couple of things to note... I have not changed my diet. I don't drink alcohol in excess, but I did drink last night. I probably had 5 shots of whiskey over a 6 hour period. Maybe my levels would have been lower this morning, but I had good reason to celebrate and wanted to enjoy my evening with friends, so I celebrated.Certainly NOT scientific data, but it might be an indication - however remote - that Purge does work. I might update this review in a couple of days if the condition completely goes away on the 2 tablets, twice daily dosage. I do believe that I will monitor my uric acid levels on a monthly basis and will make sure to have enough Purge on hand to reduce the levels if they begin to spike. It may very well not be helping, but if there is a 1% chance that it can, I'm going to take that chance. While I have a very high tolerance for pain and can work through it, this was very painful and I'd like to avoid it if possible.

Did not work for me at all, but amazing Company!!
I bought 2 bottles, just started my 2nd one and its flared up my gout worse than ever. I was taking these as a preventative measure, but will be at the Drs tomorrow sadlyUPDATE: seller contacted and was incredibly gracious and concerned. He gave me tips for a successful conclusion and i am continuing using them for a few months to see if i can get my desired results.

Did not work for me
I wanted these to work since I cannot take allopurinol but unfortunately they did not. I had a blood test this morning thru my rheumatologist and my Uric Acid numbers actually went up from early February. I Was taking the recommended 2 a day for about 2 months while following a pretty strict diet. No red meat, no alcohol etc. Did not cause any side effects or flare ups for me but would not recommend as an alternative for lowering your uric acid.

It's working
I have been using this for 2 weeks now and my feet never felt better. I was getting gout back to back and it was hard for me to do any physical activity. Now I am back to running and the gym with out limping all the time. I take this 2 times a day. One in the morning and night. I drink plenty of water to flush out whatever toxins in my body.Give it a shot! It might save your toe.
