Very solid and rugged. Not Cheapies.
I received these 14 ft whips and hardware quick enough. Came in 2 packages two days apart. My intention is to install these whips to the 2x4 pumpers on my 32 ft floating dock for my 22 ft pontoon boat. When I saw the rugged and substantial hardware, I could see that they are intended for those big pylon fixed telephone pole posts with 3" slats. Quick call to the helpful manufacturer and I was assured that many customers install these whips as I intended. He shared an installation tip that will be helpful. So quality of solid fiberglass whips A+. Quality of hardware A++. Thick solid aluminum. Great welds. No sharp edges. Solid thick paint job. Included lines for poles, high quality. I am not real handy, but feel that I can easily install these.

Awesome!
These are awesome! Once you get the hang of how tightly to tie them, you will have no issues keeping your boat off the dock except for in the highest of winds. I have completely removed my fenders now because I am so confident in the whips. No more scuff marks from the fenders or their lines.Very easy to install. I didn't realise that they didn't come with the hardware to fix to the pilings but with those in hand it was all good. Just be careful depending on your dock/piling height that the whip lines do not rub against the side of the boat at high tide. This isn't obvious straight away since the lines aren't tight at installation.

Tropical storm approved
I have a 25 foot boat tied to a pylon dock with these. They do an excellent job of keeping the boat off of the structure. During a recent tropical storm, one of the lag bolts actually ripped through the wood - the whips outlasted the structure they were attached to. Everything including the whips survived the storm intact otherwise!

Will absolutely do its job.
Easy to install with basic tools. Does require enough structure underneath for a solid mount. The boat never hits my dock, even with multiple boats passing by consecutively. Used for a Searay 240 SDX. I did screw up on ordering the right ones. I needed the top mount type. I returned them and got the tight ones with no issues.

A Home Run!
I should have purchased these a long time ago. The instructions were easy to follow. Installation was easy. They perform better than I anticipated. My boat is 26 feet, 7000 lbs.

I am very satisfied. These whips are doing a good job of ...
First, let me say that this review would have been 5-star if I had gotten all the parts. I emailed the manufacturer and they sent me the missing parts pronto, but I was on a schedule, and had already move on before receiving them. The missing parts were four rubber sleeves that make the round bottom rod fit snugly inside the square receiver on the mounting bracket. My unit came without them I am absolutely sure, because I rummaged through all the packaging several times before concluding something was amiss. Then when I received the replacements a couple days later, and knowing what to look for, I rummaged through all the original packaging again to no avail.Since I couldn't conveniently wait, I went down to my local metal fabricator, and they sold me a short length of 1" i.d. x 1-5/15" o.d. round aluminum tubing. I cut it into two lengths, mounted the bottom whip rod with silicone adhesive in them, and then slid them into the mounting receiver. While I was at it, I drilled clearance holes through the assembly and tapped a matching hole into the inside of the mounting bracket, and threaded a bolt through the whole thing to ensure that things would stay in place. I also replaced the puny little set screws that hold the two parts of the whips together with more substantial bolts. All fasteners are stainless, of course.Other than the supplier's oversight and my needing to move ahead quickly, I am very satisfied. These whips are doing a good job of holding a 24' pontoon boat away from the dock in a waterway that typically has a 3' tidal range.

Not satisfied
We have 2 tiki hut boats that is only 4000lbs and we broke 2 outer whips so far. Yes we are in a wind area but I got 20000 lbs to compensate for that .....
