ML1000EV garage door operator - premium model for gates up to 130 kg

I'm only into basic DIY but from starting to get tools out to finishing putting them away this took me 5 hrs to install. It's fitted to an existing old canopy style door, so luckily I'd researched this all online & realised I needed an additional canopy door fitting. Works perfectly, quietly and faultlessly every time. Really impressed. I would definitely recommend and would buy this again if another was needed.

This unit is brilliant. I was expecting it to be difficult to install.... but it was easy. Yes - you need the tools stated and you need to be reasonably able at DIY. The instructions are clear. The programming was also exceptionally easy. The unit arrived with a German two pin plug but next day I received an adaptor from the supplier. By this time I had cut off the German plug and fitted a UK plug. Since installation it has worked perfectly on our double sized garage door. Very quiet.

Came with English instructions and UK plug. I had no trouble installing this on my own in about 5 hours, including removing the old door opener. I found that the instruction were clear and easy to follow. Check what kind of door you have - some doors require additional parts. I used this to replace an existing door opener that had stopped working. This new opener is quieter and faster than the old one. Very happy with this. The instructions are easy to find online - it is worth reviewing then to make sure that this is suitable for your application.

nice and easy to fit, had to add an additional support half way along the mechanism to prevent it from waging around when the door was being open/closed.

Needed to replace original over 20 year old Chamberlain garage door opener. Arrived within 5 days and installed in 2, by my elderly husband. A little difficulty in making the 2nd remote work but succeeded after trial and error. Instructions not easily understood but having installed the original helped. Very pleased with operation and quietness of the installation. Recommended.

This was an upgrade and replacement for a previous Chamberlain product I installed a number of years ago. This version seems much quieter and the features like the wireless door opener are welcome additions. It is still a two-person installation and does take time. It is worth spending time getting the prep right and making sure everything is straight and true and at the outset. Once installed it is very easy to set up and use.

The equipment came well packed and delivered on time. It was easy to fit despite confusing illustrations in the fitting instruction. It works very smoooothly and quiet. I've tested the safety features and they work very well indeed. There is very little force needed to stop the closing sequence and make the door opening again.

It was super easy to put up and the sellers were really helpful with questions. 10/10

I'm in the UK so wondered about what was contained in the kit because it's not abundantly clear, so here goes. Not in the habit of writing reviews though, so you have my sympathies. The kit contains the motor and control module, the drive rail, the drive belt, the wall bracket for the rail, the bracket for the door itself, the disconnect mechanism and pull-chord, the arm to connect the rail to the door and an extension piece too, two remote controls and a wall mounted wireless door remote. The motor itself is quiet and quite strong. Easily lifts a fibreglass double garage door weighing around 100kg. I've attached a video to illustrate that the motor might seem to struggle when it kicks into life ... only it doesn't, it's just that the motor "soft-starts" and slowly increases speed so that it doesn't jerk the door around too much when in operation. You can see the difference when you're setting the motor limits after initial installation. When doing that it doesn't "soft-start" and works at full speed throughout its range. Also my phone picks up sound pretty well so it gives you a good idea of how little noise it produces. The installation takes a short while. I did it on my own from scratch and it took me around 4½ hours. It would have been easier with two people for sure so maybe get a helper if you're not so confident. Some of that time was making a sturdy surface to mount the motor/rail onto and running a power cable to it though. With existing cabling you could knock an hour off that time. With two people, perhaps another 30 minutes off ... but it is achievable by just one person. The manual is fairly straight forward. Just take your time and work through each bit logically. The kit arrived with a euro plug. For UK use you could add a EURO to UK plug adapter or just snip the EURO plug off entirely and attach a UK plug as I did. The unit peaked at about 5 amps in use, so I've just used a 5A fuse in the plug. There are some terminal connections on the back of the motor for connecting a 24v battery in case of power failure and various accessories like push button switches to open/close, obstruction sensors for the opening/closing etc etc. They're all outlined in the manual adequately. Personally I only wired in some pre-existing push buttons that were already mounted on my garage wall. They're the two white wires in terminals 1 and 2. Their "usually open" intermittent push button switches, meaning it operates the door when the switch is pushed and closes the circuit. The motor has safety measures in place in case of an obstruction being placed in the door closing path. The manual explains how to test these. I'd suggest you do, I mean, what's the point in not doing so? Overall pretty happy with it all, better than I was expecting. A capable bit of kit. One mild criticism would be the remotes. They have a cheaper feel to them. They work well enough and have a decent range, maybe 50 meters or so, but they just don't feel particularly premium quality nor do they inspire confidence how they'd hold up under punishment, say if they were dropped or exposed to any water. Hope this has been useful.

Anche se non molti conoscono Chamberlain, il marchio è molto conosciuto in USA. Si tratta di un gruppo americano piuttosto grosso che ha diversi brand di automatismi, per cui, se qualcuno avesse dei dubbi sull'affidabilità e la qualità del prodotto, chiariamo subito che si tratta di un automatismo di un marchio molto famoso e consolidato oltre-oceano. Pertanto, la qualità non si discute. Per averne conferma, poi, basterà sollevare il binario, per capire che siamo in presenza di un prodotto molto solido. Cominciamo a chiarire alcuni aspetti che hanno sollevato dei dubbi. Prima di tutto, questo apri-porta funziona con i basculanti a molla e contrappeso, MA bisogna acquistare il braccio curvo da montare sul portone. Ce ne sono di diversi modelli e prezzi; io suggerisco di acquistare quello della Chamberlain che potete cerca su Amazon (codice prodotto 1703REV - Chamberlain Door Arm), è vero che costa di più, ma è sicuramente più versatile di altri. Il costo non è contenutissimo, ma quando lo prenderete in mano capirete il perché. Questo automatismo Solleva tranquillamente portoni in alluminio di 5,0m X 2,25m come il mio e che pesano oltre 100Kg (il limite della casa è 130Kg). L'installazione è piuttosto facile, ma ci sono alcuni stratagemmi da tenere in considerazione: prima di tutto non date retta alle istruzioni che vi dicono di posizionare il supporto di testa per il fissaggio del binario (lato opposto al motore) a una distanza inferiore a 15cm dal muro, mettetelo quanto più possibile a "piombo" rispetto al centro della porta (comunque non più di 5-7 cm da quest'ultima) o rischierete di dover fare contorsionismi per montare abbinare i braccetti (a meno che l'architrave sopra la porta non rientri molto verso l'interno del garage rispetto alla porta, allora, in questo caso seguite le istruzioni che spiegano questo caso specifico). A parte questo il montaggio è piuttosto semplice, ma va eseguito in due, montarlo da soli significa rischiare di fare danni, specialmente quando si monta il motore a soffitto. La regolazione di apertura e chiusura potrebbe risultare un po' confusa perché la porta tende ad accelerare, a quel punto rilasciate il pulsante e andate avanti a piccoli movimenti fino a raggiungere la posizione finale (in entrambe i sensi). Partite sempre dalla porta completamente chiusa. Se sbagliate non c'è problema, ripetete la configurazione dall'inizio. Ciò detto, consiglio sicuramente questo apri-porta, la qualità si vede già dall'imballaggio e la solidità delle componenti. A parte potete acquistare il MyQ per azionare il portone da remoto tramite app. Io l'ho acquistato e devo dire che è comodissimo, visto che in questo modo, quando i miei figli devono riportare le biciclette in garage, posso aprirglielo senza muovermi dalla poltrona e dalla app posso verificare se il portone è aperto. Insieme al MyQ vengono forniti anche i sensori tipo quelli dei cancelli per rilevare la presenza di oggetti sotto la porta. L'installazione dei sensori permetto di attivare anche la funzione di auto-chiusura da un minimo di 10 secondi fino ad un massimo di 3 minuti. Insomma, si tratta di un prodotto funzionale, sicuramente uno dei più completi sul mercato. Nella scatola non è fornito il lampeggiante, ma si può installarne uno facilmente (la Chamberlain ne produce uno), non è necessario che sia originale, ma basta che preveda l'alimentazione a 24V. Il lampeggiante va collegato con un doppio filo da 0,5m2 ai morsetti 6 e 7 (al 7 collegare il +), mentre sui morsetti 2 e 3 (il positivo sul 3) si collegano i sensori forniti con il MyQ. Molto semplice da installare. Consigliatissimo.

Se monta facil pero con la ayuda de otra persona ,los mandos ya vienen programados y solo tienes que programar la parada cuando sube y baja, para que pare el motor y es super sencillo yo lo hice y eso que las instrucciones no vienen en español que es un detalle super importante para el fabricante que tendría que poner las instrucciones también en español. A la hora del funcionamiento es super silencioso porque yo el anterior que tenia era de la misma marca pero otro modelo y iba con cadena y era bastante ruidoso

This product saved me to pay 4 times higher price to replace my broken LiftMaster. It is really easy to install so I did it myself. It has very good quality and very low noise. Hope that it works for a long period as it has 7 years of warrantee.

Het heeft wat tijd gekost om juiste manier te instellen, want elk garage heeft een andere rail. Ik heb in totaal 3 rails die de deur open en dicht gooien. Uiteindelijk heb ik ervoor gezorgd dat de garage niet compleet open gaat zodat het makkelijk weer dicht kan gaan. Later volgt nog video en foto. Nu al paar maanden in gebruik en ben zeer tevreden. zeer stil en krachtig. Makkelijk te bedienen en in te stellen
