precision on a budget
I don’t usually leave reviews, but I’ve been using this caliper for a few projects now and it’s good enough that I felt it was worth saying something.I bought it because I wanted to be more accurate with my 3D printing work, but I didn’t want to spend serious money. A Mitutoyo digital caliper which is top of the pile is around £110–£120 in the UK. This cost a fraction of that, so expectations were sensible.First impression was good. It’s stainless steel, has a bit of weight to it, and doesn’t feel like a toy. The slide is smooth and the little thumb wheel is actually really useful for creeping up on a measurement instead of overshooting it. Once you lock it, it stays put.Accuracy-wise, it’s been spot on for what I need. I checked it against a couple of known sizes and kept getting the same readings back, usually within about 0.02 mm. I honestly wouldn’t gain much by spending ten times more. The screen is clear, zeroes properly, and doesn’t jump around while you’re measuring. Inside, outside and depth measurements all work as expected, even on small holes where cheap calipers can be a bit sketchy. Is it as silky smooth or as refined as a top-end Mitutoyo? No. But it also doesn’t cost Mitutoyo money. For normal workshop use it does exactly what it should without getting in the way.If you’re a hobbyist, DIYer, or just want a reliable digital caliper without paying professional prices, this is a really solid buy. I’d happily buy it again.

Inside/outside jaws differ by 0.06mm but otherwise acceptable
I did a review of this product on youtube and showed how I carried out various checks.Using a 50mm engineers block I checked accuracy and repeatability of main jaws 49.98 to 50.0 readings which are within spec and indicate pretty good flatness and parallel machining of main jaws.Inside measurement jaws were not so good - the flat faces have a gap meaning the measurment axis is not inline with the points of measurment, this is worse for small items. There is a 0.06mm difference between the main jaws (which you use to zero, and the inside jaws, which are therefore actually out of spec, the inside jaws are difficult to zero separate from main jaws (they don't fit in a hole that has no size).Depth gauge/step - this end face is quite crudely ground and setting this on the engineer table it is easy to measure that the "plunger" is 0.05mm short of the end of the body, unlike the inside jaws you can probably zero-out this error.I had to tighten two screws in the body that they had forgotten to do in the factory (under the label) and on delivery the slide section was a bit wobbly because they had not properly tightened the top two screws that adjust the slider friction. After doing this it made the faces parallel and it works pretty well.I was disapointed in the attention to detail in the manufacture but accuracy and repeatablity are ok for the main jaws. For the price it is acceptable and better than the budget devices

Great set of calipers that look well constructed
This tools provides accurate measurement, is nice and clear to read in any light, and looks well constructed. Powered by the included coin batteries there's no need to worry about recharging. The all metal construction is great as it sticks to a magnetic tool bar easily. The calipers were easy to operate adjust/zero.

My unit is machined very precisley and the screen is marvelous. It comes with box and 2 batteries.
I only received it recently but I must say I am very impressed with the calipers. Jaws are closing flat without any light leakage with light test and it reads repeatedly 0 in that position. In general the reading can be repeated few times and the variation between them will not be bigger than 0.01mm which I attribute to jaws grabbing item differently due to the way I operate the instrument. Some users complained that the jaws are not precise. In my case they are perfect.Other complained that the batter runs down on its own as only minimal movement of the instrument will wake it up. This is not correct. At least not in my case. Yes the instrument is very sensitive but the easy way around it for storage is to lock it in fully closed position with a lock screw. This prevents calipers from waking up in transportation in my limited experience with it.I though that the screen will be the highlight - and don't get me wrong it is - but there is so many quality features about it that it just does not stand out so much even tough that it is amazing in how easy it is to read it and how big the numbers are.The precision adjustment wheel is a tiny bit loose but works really well and it does not impact the operation. The only downside I can think of and something that caught me by surprise is the added heft and weight. This is my first digital caliper, for past 20 years I was using traditional caliper which is a considerably lighter device. The increased weight on its own is not a real problem as such but the lack of balance it causes as it is accumulated towards the jaws can surprise and lead to dropping it to the floor I would imagine. It did not happen to me but it almost happened to me.All in all great buy.If you have found this review helpful I would appreciate if you could mark it as "Helpful" with the button below. Thank you!

Fantastic quality
I am very impressed with what are excellent callipers. They have a well engineered feel and weight and are so easy to use with a clear readout. They come in a handy case and even have a spare battery. I buy tools regularly and this is one of the best I have bought. I don't leave reviews very often but felt the need to give credit where credit is due.

Incredible value for money
I haven't reviewed anything for a long time, but this calliper is such a good buy, I have to say something!I'm starting to care about the accuracy with which I do metalwork. Callipers are one of the first measuring devices a machinist will need and so I did a lot of research. Mitutoyo is often regarded as the gold standard and their version of this calliper; their cheapest digital calliper in the UK, is 112 GBP; it costs seven times more than this Preciva calliper. For the DIY-er or hobbyist machinist, I reckon the Preciva calliper is every bit as good.Accuracy: I have two 'reference blocks': steel 'cuboids' with highly accurate dimensions and precise right angles. They are one of the best ways to check the accuracy of many things, including measuring instruments. This Preciva calliper measured my blocks to .02 of a millimetre, anywhere on the block. That's a guaranteed accuracy of two hundredths of a millimetre in your measurements, equivalent to the thinnest human hair. I don't need more than that!So it's accurate: good. And ...- Its 'frame' is made of stainless steel; this adds mass and dimensional stability. It also feels like a proper tool because it's heavier than plastic callipers: 'tool feel' is a thing!- The features built into it are pro-level and actually useful- The sliding gauge and digital readout can be moved up and down using the knurled part of the black plastic body, BUT using the small metal wheel allows you to move the scale much more accurately, even .01 mm at a time if you're gentle with it.- Then you can hold the slide in place by tightening the screw on the top of the slide. This is useful in ways you will discover as you use it.- using the often-rubbish 'inside diameter' jaws, I was able to measure the diameter of a 3mm hole I drilled with a cheap drill in my drill press. The diameter measured from 2.97 to 2.99 mm. Not only is that accurate, but I could measure such a small diameter with a reassuringly firm grip of the calliper on the hole.I suggest you buy this calliper. It has to be the best value for money calliper available on Amazon UK.PS: I hate Jeff Bezos!
