Carlson 76 Inch Wide Flexi Configurable Walk Through Pet Gate

2 year Update:This gate ended up solving all of our problems. Much to my surprise, it has held up extremely well and not even the clasp which I worried was cheap has failed. Highly recommend!!Like most people, I bought this gate because we have a sizeable opening that needed to be secured so that our two cats and animal-aggressive/unpredictable dog could be separated. The height is great and neither of them has been able to nor tried to jump it (yet.) The joints in the gate allow for varying positions and the mounts fit pretty securely to the wall.Installation was relatively easy despite the fact that the screw holes are directly in front of a pole and therefore cannot be accessed from the front. The instructions suggest using a screwdriver to install the mounts but I don't know how you'd do this if you managed to find a stud. We used a drill and still had some trouble given the angle.I had read from other reviewers that the small pet door on this gate is large enough for medium dogs to fit through. That proved to be true for us as well. Our 50-lb pitbull mix is indeed able to fit through this door although initially it seemed her rib cage would prevent that. It looks like we will need to come up with a creative solution so that the cats can fit through easily while the dog cannot at all. Since we discovered the dog can fit through, the cat door has stayed closed.Lastly, I agree with other reviewers who have said that the walk-through latch is cheaply made and it feels like this will be the first thing on this gate to break. Outside of the size of this gate, it's really nothing special, but as usual, I got what I paid for.

Very impressed, I was a little worried about the quality of this product because of the price, but it has yet to fail. Our puppy seems to not even bother to jump on it now he has learned there's no way out. We did use much larger screws to attach to our wall, the screws that came with it did not seem sufficient. They were also loose in the box so we ended up missing a few anyways and would have needed to use different screws no matter if we planned to or not.

We purchased this gate system to keep our puppy corralled on our deck. It also helps keep toddler grandson contained as well lol!So far, it has been perfect.I gave four stars for sturdiness. You can see from enclosed picture, my handy husband screwed wood blocks into our gazebo frame and then attached the gate system to the blocks. It is sturdy but would most likely be more sturdy attached to actual door frames. We don’t allow the grand children to “hang” on it or shake it back and forth.I also enclosed a picture to show a tiny bit of rusting that some reviews addressed. This rust is on either side of the gate at the bottom. This is not a big deal to us. After all, we are using it outside.Lastly, I took a chance and ordered this item as “open box”. The description said the box was slightly damaged.For our purpose, it wasn’t a deal breaker so I would advise others to take a chance on “open box” items. If you’re not satisfied, you can always return it!

This gate is perfect, great built, but my 6 months old, 52 pounds golden retriever still passes in the cat door.

This gate is fantastic. We have a very wide opening between our livingroom and kitchen and didn't know how to separate it for babies/dogs. We were reluctant to bolt this to the doorway frame knowing it would likely be pulled on, run into, bumped, and pushed. It's gotten a lot of wear in the past six months, including one 2 year old, 2 hound dogs, and multiple adults passing through it many many times each day. It's held up wonderfully. (My dogs are a bit large to fit through that little pet door- I'd say to only count on that working for toy-sized dogs and most cats.) The installation is very sturdy against the door frame. It's design doesn't overwhelm our decor. And the 2 year old still doesn't know how to work the latch. If it's not locked; (using the red slide over the latch) then he can easily open it. He can't yet move that red lock, which is awesome. Wish we had gotten this sooner. Though we have never removed it to look, I can't see any damage being done to the wood door frame other than of course the fact that there are now a few holes screwed in there. Definitely a worth-while trade off.Update: we STILL have this gate installed in our home. It's been amazing. We now have two kids still two dogs and this has held up amazingly. I've flat out run into this thing a million times just being clumsy and it hasn't budged. We've even moved some minor furniture in and out past this gate; whether lifting above or sliding through the opening. We haven't experienced any of the things described on the negative reviews. Just sayin.👍🏻
