Slow 'N Sear® Travel Kettle Grill

This is the perfect travel grill, and includes some creature comforts that are missing from the Weber Smokey Joe. First off, it's slightly larger than the Smokey Joe (18" vs 14") but it's still easier to transport due to the lid bail that doubles as a lid lock. Some other upgrades that make this worth the price difference are the inclusion of a slow n sear insert for 2 zone cooking, the improved bottom vent with extended handle, Improved handle on the top vent temperature port, and smoke hole. I initially thought the smoke hole was a gimmick, but I've found it useful in low and slow cooking. You can close off the bottom vent and use the smoke hole for air intake on really low temp cooks. I really do think the SNS travel kettle is worth more than the double the price you'll pay versus a Smokey Joe.

Love it. My first charcoal grill (finally live in a place where I'm allowed to own and use one lol) and it's awesome. Love the Slow-n-Sear. The quality is awesome. It's sturdy and very simple to put together. The instructions are easy to follow and it can be done by one person...in a hot garage, in the middle of summer...in Las Vegas. If I can do it, YOU can do it. Cooking with the Slow-n-Sear is a breeze and let me tell you...I'm going to be cooking outside as often as is possible...especially in the dessert winters.

Really impressed with this BBQ, build quality is excellent and comes with many of the add ons you’d have bought for the Weber kettle like the stainless grill grate. The probe holes also help significantly with temperature control as the lid can sit flush with the BBQ. Really happy.

I was in love with this grill before I ever bought it, watching Guga foods cook steaks I soon had to ask the inevitable question of what kind of grill is he cooking on. Soon found the answer and knew I had to have it. Took me about 2 hours to put together as I fumbled with a few things with the instructions as I wanted to put it together like it should be 100%. Cooking chicken wings on this, bottom and top vents full open, with the water pan in the charcoal bin, closed the lid for an hour, during that time, the thermometer stayed right at 325 degrees, after the hour, opened up the grill, nothing was burned, even the wings closest to the charcoal bin, most of the charcoal was still unburned. The wings turned out perfect, wish I would have ditched my Weber years ago.
