This is a great collection of movies. It consists of the 'first wave' of films that comprise the Marvel Cinematic Universe. These are: "Iron Man", "the Incredible Hulk", "Iron Man 2", "Thor", "Captain America", and "Avengers Assemble".Each film is presented in full, with lots of extras. The only negative aspect of this box set - as compared to buying individual films - is that the 3D versions are not included. Nonetheless, the box this set comes in is very nice - and proudly sits on my Blu-ray shelf.I'll not review each film ... others have done that. What I will say is that this is a thoroughly enjoyable collection of movies. We're introduced to each character and, over time, they are increasingly shown to exist in a shared universe - and then, in the 6th film, they all come together to save the Earth from invasion. It's a really fun set of films, with lots of super-hero action.It's a shame that some cast members changed (especially as regards Bruce Banner/Hulk). And I think that, in hindsight, Marvel might have added a little more interconnectivity between the films earlier on. But these are minor points, and don't detract from the overall achievement. While I'm personally more of a 'DC fan', I nonetheless wholeheartedly enjoyed this film series.If you don't own these movies, and you're not bothered about the 3D versions, then I recommend this set - as you'll get all six films at once, in a deluxe box. I paid under £40 (new, from Amazon) - so please ensure you don't overpay. They're entertaining for children and adults alike, and make for great family viewing.

I know some other reviews of this box set are a little on the negative side due to the reviewers opinions about lack of extras on many of the discs, the disc holders being the same as if you were purchasing the films individually, and "that" altered scene in "Avengers Assemble"but if you really look at this box set with your "financial hat" on... you will see that its great value for money.Before i decided to purchase this product, i had been looking at purchasing some of the films individually... but if i had done that, it would have cost me roughly the same money for 3x of the Films as this box set cost for double the discs and the ability to view all of the movies about each of the "hero" aAvengers (Iron man, hulk, captain america and thor) and take note of the connecting plot points running through all of the movies.Sure, the discs lack a lot of the extras that you get on the blu-ray discs... but personally im willing to live without the deleted scenes from some of the films, but thats me.Unless your really desperate for directors commentary, and every deleted scene.. i would highly recommend this box set to fans or just to someone wanting to enjoy the whole saga... atleast untill the next lot of movies get released over the next few years.

Good set if they can be bought reasonably cheap with upcoming collectors phase 1 & 2 sets,that look interesting.The set itself is nicely put together, Good quality box w/ lid style & nice artwork of each character on open-out disc display & also outer plastic sleeve. Extras are on each disc, but not all eg: Thor, have bonus extras or the full extras eg: IM2 & Avengers.The only slightly negative thing I can see is, discs are from the individual BD releases but not exclusive to this set which was expensive back in 2012.I have seen some of these on Netflix while owning them on Blu-ray over time.Am glad to get them in this original set, which will lead me to have a good look at 'Phase2' collector's edition.IMO actual blu-ray/UHD BD is still the best quality for A/V. I managed to get a mint set of these considering they are from 2012 so happy with them.

There's so much said on here already about the box set and the movies reviews, so i'll just add a few comments...This box set is perfect for people like me. I love the movies but I couldn't give a damn about 100's of hours of special features and I really couldn't care less that the discs don't have matching artwork. They sit in the case or in the box, so what's the big deal? Unless someone plans on framing them or studing them everyday then I can't see what the fuss is about regarding the discs. Get a life is my advice on that. The box set suited me as I sold all my individual films of Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Capt America which paid for this set. It worked out I got HHulk and Avengers for free. I wasn't worried I lost the individual cases, artwork and any bonus discs as i'm in it for the movies themselves.My only grumble with this box set is the size of it. Height wise it is fine but it's wider than a regular style box set which causes it to stick out more when stored spine to spine with everything else. It can cause a problem if you store your blu rays two rows in as it will push out any cases stored side on to it.All in all, at £35 it is a bargain and will probably be £20 or less after christmas.

This box set is designed very nicely,you wont be disapointed.The qaulity of the design can be compared to that of the starwars collection which is now my second favourite boxset i own.The one place this set falls shy is the lack of a singel disc full of speacial features like some boxsets have(the american one originally had the"shield files" but it is now canceled,but i will note you still receive the special features that originaly came whith each movie(deleted scenes ect).The qaulity of the blu ray picture for all of the films is pretty decent the avengers however defiantly has the best qaulity picture out of them.To sum up i think the qaulity of the bluray layout is excellent and unique,bluray picture and sound qaulity excellent and the speacial features are satisfactory but seeing as the price is what it is this boxset gets a perfect score from me.

For those wanting a good price and a nice collection of the entire MCU Phase 1 without that silly suitcase thing, this is the set to get.Box set very compact and well designed. Don't worry about the region free thing; the discs should play regardless of where you live.

Esta es toda la información que aporta amazon al respecto, y la considero incompleta.Cuando lo compré hace unas semanas (Octubre de 2012) me volví loca buscando exactamente qué extras traía cada disco, y cuando creí que lo había encontrado, en una página que no era amazon, lo pedí. Ese fue mi error.Los pequeños fans (los grandes fans ya lo sabían) de Marvel descubrimos en esas fechas, yo cuando recibí este envío, que el pack Avengers Assemble de 6 discos incluye la película de los Vengadores, Ironman 1 y 2, Thor, El incríble Hulk y Capitán América PERO algunas de ellas CON EXTRAS y otras no. En particular, NO incluye la versión comentada de los Vengadores ni las escenas eliminadas o una versión extendida, cosa que por lo visto la versión estadounidense sí. Yo no me fijé en versión USA o Europa cuando investigué los extras y me encontré con una colección que no tenía el único motivo por el cual la pedí.

No description required here. All the films are included and they are all good. A bunch of languages are avaliable but I have not watched them in any language other than English. No Japanese option which is a shame since this is going up onto amazon.jp. Regardless if you don't own any of these films and want them this is the package to get.
