DURATECH Leather Hole Punch, Heavy Duty 6-Hole Punch Plier Tool

This is the one you want for heavy card paper crafts! I have owned many popular brand name punches. They don’t hold up. I started trying to find a leather punch to do the job of punching holes in heavy card and layers of glued paper etc. I bought several cheaper leather punches. All junk. This one requires a little bit of hand adjusting to change the size of the hole you punch. But it’s totally worth it. Very solid. Read the directions and it’s no problem. Super punch power! Heavy duty metal. Has weight to it. Easy to use without stressing my hand. Lines up perfectly. Seems made of solid durable materials. And will punch a variety of materials as well. Highly recommend! Hope this helps someone. For the price this is the one you need.

It’s a little smaller than I anticipated, the largest hole it can punch is 4.5mm. That’s absolutely on me - failed to fully read the description. Functionally, it’s perfect. Very clean holes, and the punches are quite sharp so low effort. It uses a rotating die-plate made from aluminium, so be forewarned - you aren’t going to be punching heavy or hard material, or any light metals whatsoever, without damaging the punch. Altogether, I’m quite satisfied with it, for what I purchased it for (gasket material and some vinyl-coated canvas).

This punch did nit produce clean holes out of the box and needed sharpening when recieved. The hole sizes were accurate and now works on thinner leather. But remains a challenge on toolable leather. The entire tool is made of metal and changes to hole size is easy by rotating the punch turret and then aligning the proper die hole that matches the desired punch. The quality of the construction and machining of the moving parts is very good producing a smooth action when punching holes.

Not too bad. I like being able to adjust the size of the hole along with the size of the punch. Some thicker materials responded better when a made the hole one step larger. I also like the ability to set the depth for consistent hole position. There is a screw to loosen to be able to rotate the punch. Basically it limits how wide the punch opens. Let it go wide enough and punch dies rotate. I do find that screw a bit fiddley and takes a lot of turns. Your mileage may vary and the more I use it and have to adjust it, maybe I'll be able to find the right spot and make it only a few turns each direction. Also the depth guide needs to be tightened with a screwdriver to make it secure. Fingertip tightness isn't quite enough. However the screw is kinda soft, so be sure to find a screwdriver with a tip that goes into it securely. Past that, I do like it and for my occasional needs, this works better than the other handheld hole punches I've used. BT recommended

Excellent. Precise and strong and easy to use. The adjustable guide is a useful bonus, making it possible to create a row of holes the same distance in from the edge of the material. The punches are solid rather than slightly sharpened tubes. It relies on the precision die into which the punch is pressed to shear the holes rather than cut them like a pastry cutter. Match the die to the punch by rotating the disc on the plate the workpiece rests on and it cuts beautifully.

Excellent tool, however limited the width of the unit that you can puncture which is aboutv20 mm, am pretty confident they can do a new one that can puncture up to 30 mm width, Then the largest diameter size it can puncture is 45 mm, it can be good to be able to 60 mm
