We tried this little soda blaster over the weekend and it's perfect for what I needed. I repurpose Breyer horses (plastic horse models) by stripping the paint off and doing custom painting. We did 5 models in total. Talk about fast! The most time is reloading the little blaster, as it doesn't hold a lot, but that's not a big deal. It can take me an hour to hand sand a classic size model, and I can't get into all the cracks and crevices. It took 5 minutes for a model with the soda blaster, and it gets it completely clean. Wow!! I used powdered sodium bicarbonate....we had a 50 lb bag on hand that we bought for another use, so we decided to try it. Worked great once we ran it through a sieve to get all the lumps out. Then we tried silica sand, which we also had on hand, and it was even better. I couldn't be more pleased with the time savings on this little unit.

does not work well, not enough force for the amount of product required

I had to replace some parts on my 10+ year old compact tractor. The salvageable parts were badly rusted, and this soda blaster did a great job cleaning them for reuse. A little frustrating in terms of how often you have to reload the hopper as well as having to push soda through the fine screen to get the right particle size but overall happy. Next task is to clean the internals of my suppressor.
