Old World taste like Peter F. Heering; texture like Lekvar
Unless you're fortunate enough to recall having sipped Peter F. Heering cherry liqueur, you've never tasted anything quite like Belveder Plum Butter, though its texture may remind you of an especially viscous apple butter once you bought by mistake at a farmer's market. The similarity between Heering and Belveder suggests that as certain fruits age, they grow to resemble each other in taste. If you're curious as to whether you'd like Belveder Plum Butter or not, I suggest you go to your nearest pub and order a glass of Peter F. Heering. If you like Heering enough to want to slather its taste all over your toast, rolls, bagels, hot cereals, or the like, then go ahead and order it online at the Emporium, where it's $10 less expensive per jar than it is here at Amazon.

The product is good but the price is triple. You can find it in every Polish store for $5.00 - yes, big jar!

Not the traditional plump butter
First the plump butter is made from fresh plums. So why I taste of prunes in this product. The label called it powidła, which I even more confused. I am OK with the product. Its textures is smooth and spreads easy. But if you really looking for classic plums butter that is not the taste.

Different
It is different than prune butter made in the US from dried prunes. This product is made from fresh prunes. It is not as sweet but very smooth. It has a little sour tang to it. Great for baking, I mixed with sugar and cinnamon or just eaten out of the jar.

Ground up Prunes
This product is a jar of puréed prunes. It’s bitter as compared to plum butter. It would be like grinding up raisins and calling it grape jam.

Love the product, but packaging could use an update
Giving three stars because while I love this product (would otherwise give five stars), one of the two jars was delivered broken. Would suggest to the company that they look into packaging/protecting them a bit better.
