First thing to say – make sure you use it in a well-ventilated area. The glue is really strong and quite potent, you certainly notice the fumes while you’re using it! In terms of the repair itself, it does work. The patch adhered well and the wetsuit is now properly sealed again, so from a practical point of view it’s done exactly what I needed it to do. That said….the patches are quite a bit thicker than I expected, and once applied they are quite visible, so it’s not the neatest or most discreet repair. Application is fairly straightforward, but you do need to take your time with positioning as once it’s down, it’s not easy to adjust. It’s also worth leaving it to cure properly overnight rather than rushing it, as that seems to make a difference to how well it holds. So overall, it is effective and does the job, but just not the most subtle finish. Good as a functional repair rather than a cosmetic one

This is a nice kit for wetsuit repairs. I have repaired one hole and one partial tear with it. My only question was which side of the patch to apply glue- one is smooth and one is corrugated. I used the smooth side and that has worked fine.

I've used this product twice now to repair a membrane drysuit & I'm impressed with its ease of use. Quick drying capabilities as long as the clear instructions are followed.

The first thing to note is that the product that arrived was only remotely like the one I thought I was buying! A box arrived that (in spite of what was stated on the outside: one neoprene patch and 2 x 5g tubes of adhesive) contained 5 thick neoprene patches in assorted sizes, a plastic glove and 3 x 5g tubes of glue. (Picture attached). The description in the listing shows a single 30g tube in a blister pack with the 5 patches. In fact, as any bicycle-repairer knows, several small tubes of rubber glue makes much more sense than one big one. Any opened tube of rubber glue will not stay useable for long. Fortunately it seems to do the job intended. The rubber glue is very difficult to handle and apply but, after squeezing away the rapidly-congealing blob at the top, the rest was reasonably useable and effective. I was able to repair several small tears in a wetsuit successfully. The glue dries black and makes a good cosmetic blend with the neoprene of the suit. Only time will tell how durable the repairs are. The patches look as if they would be useful and effective but I haven’t had to use one yet. Worth buying, but be prepared for a surprise package.

Needed to repair a split in my neoprene spray deck so bought this because it came with patches as well. The split was about 2cm long, and had gone right through the top layer of fabric and the neoprene but the bottom fabric layer was still intact. Glued it together, and once dry I was going to glue a patch on it as well because it was right on the rim of the cockpit in a high stress area. Needed to use the spray deck before I had a chance to glue the patch on (but after the glue had cured for 24 hours) and I haven't actually needed to put a patch on it yet after multiple uses including a full weekend paddling.

The packaging was substandard the blister pack was missing and although the tube was unopened and patches present the whole thing was selotaped over with wax paper and for all I knew items could have been missing from the packet. As regards the product itself its seems to have done the job beatifully with all nicks/gashes in my tri-wetsuit seeming to have sealed together beautifully and very easily not tried it in the water yet but look forward to doing so and seeing how the repairs hold!

Memo to self: Next time cut nails short before putting wetsuit on!

Repara los agujeros del traje de manera soberbia. A mí se me había rajado el cuello del neopreno, y pensaba que esa raja no iba a pegar, pero con dos aplicaciones, dejando secar la primera y aplicando una segunda horas después, también pudo con ella. Una pasada de reparador, merece la pena, además, los repuestos que trae de neopreno, para agujeros grandes, van de lujo.

Absolut zu empfehlen! Hab zwei Risse an der Naht meines Neoprenanzugs geklebt und danach noch mit einem mitgelieferten runden Neopren-Pad verstärkt. Nach 10 Minuten hat es schon einen soliden Eindruck gemacht, heute am Tag danach hält es bombenfest und ist trotzdem super elastisch!

It is important to know first that when you open the tube the goo is really thick. I thought perhaps it had gone bad so I looked at some of the other reviews and they said the same thing. It does not want to adhere to the neoprene so you have to force it to stay on so you can put the torn parts together. My daughters wet suit had torn at the collar both in the seam and into the fabric. I didn't want to use a patch as it would have not looked as good. The picture shows the left and right side of the zipper. The left side is where the tear is and was torn all the way to the opening. She has not used it yet so I don't know how it will hold up but I do recommend it as when I stretch it it acts like the original neoprene.
