I didn't like buying this, but after two "semi-controlled excursion to prone', and the inability to get up on my own where it took way too long to get to my phone, I decided I needed to get something like this. I'm 70 so I guess it was inevitable. It comes with a substantial belt clip and a neck lanyard. It is well built, and I find myself being able to ignore it hanging around my neck. While getting used to wearing it I managed to trigger the alarm accidentally. I wad connected immediately both times. The system uses a semi-automated answering system to determine what help is needed. Since both times were accidental I just said so and the system disconnected. I haven't had to use it in a real emergency so I can't speak to what would happen next. The compact USB charging base sits next to my computer and is very compact and easy to correctly place the pendant in. There is a recorded response that plays to let one know it is charging. The two times the battery was getting low I got an email to that effect to warm we. The lanyard supplied fits easily over my head, had has a magnetic catch to facilitate on/off access if one had troubles getting the lanyard over the head. There is a $30 service fee, which I feel is very reasonable for the service provided. All in all I am pleased my purchase.

Bought for an elderly friend and she feels so much more happy wearing this in her home.

Excellent product work as expected. Great technical support. Some of features I like include: 1) Call diectly to call center instead ofhome base. This works great when outside of home, say at church, market, etc. 2) Caregiver tracking & notification. I live 30 min away but can always track location & battery life remaining. When call button is pressed, I get instant notification. 3) Excellent technical support. One time we were not able to connect to Call Center, the tech support resolved it to our complete satisfaction. Just about the only down side is battery life. My experience is it's about 2 days then the low battery warning comes on. Otgerwise we're pretty satisfied with this product.

Although the setup process went fairly smoothly, the system lacks meaningful customization and personalization options. For example, there’s no easy way to include important details such as emergency contact information, medical conditions, home access instructions, or door codes. Another major drawback is the lack of reliable caregiver notifications. Family members or caregivers can use the app to receive alerts when the button is pressed, but the notifications can easily be missed if the phone is on silent mode or Do Not Disturb. The app does not support iPhone Critical Alerts, so notifications cannot bypass Apple’s notification settings. That said, the device did connect to the network reliably and functioned appropriately when help was actually needed, which is the most important aspect. Overall, it’s a very basic system with solid core functionality, but with a few improvements it could be an excellent product.

Equipment didn’t work: wouldn’t hold a charge and notifications for low battery were sent by email instead of a text. They say it works off AT&T and Verizon towers, but no matter where I placed the base, it wouldn’t stay connected. I was getting multiple emails each day about low battery and no connection. I ordered a second one directly from the company, guess what…same problems. And because I was patient in working with them to correct the issue, I was outside my return date to Amazon. So now, I’m out of $80 and still waiting for a refund for the months of service that they couldn’t monitor.

We’ve been worried about my widowed mother in law living on her own, so we got her this to ensure her safety. It’s easy to use—it talks to her to tell her when it needs to be charged, which is really useful. Also, my husband can track her location in the phone app when she’s driving. If she doesn’t move for too long it’ll alert him too. Her only complaint is that it has a blinking light that she finds annoying, so they covered it with a Band-Aid. Problem solved. It’s inexpensive to use and has all the features she (and we) need, so it’s worth it.

I did research the different life alert systems and Bay was one of the top two. Easy to set up and only has to be charged every 5 days, and if I do, they send me an email to remind me. Plus, it is less expensive than any others I looked at. Makes me feel a lot safer as I am alone much of the day.

I looked at several of these systems and I like that there were no salesman involved. I could make the decision based on the information that was provided. The purchase process was simple the registration Was also simple and three months in, the response time the ease of use for my elderly mother and the comfort it provides her family is unbeatable. Would highly recommend this product without reservation. Those of us looking after elderly parents or family members or friends with special needs we need reliable technology. I trust this device with my mother‘s well-being along with appropriate in house care.
