I grind for pour over and find it very even grind. More so than my electric Capresso burr grinder. Mostly just use for travel however. I’m not real picky but very pleased with it **Q: How does this compare to the Q2?** A: Q2 and JX, with different burr set but both ideal for the filter coffee, Q2 is travel size, the lightest, portable; the capacity for JX(30-35g) is larger than Q2 (15-20g) but heavier. **Q: How many cups of coffee using a medium ground will this grinder produce?** A: It depends on how much coffee you use for a cup. The grinding hopper can only hold about one ounce, 28 grams, max at a time, which is enough for about 12-16 ounces of coffee depending on how strong you like it. I think the grinder was designed more for espresso drinkers than pour over drinkers but I do like how quickly it grinds and how uniform the grounds are. It’s a hefty piece, very solid and so it is very quiet as it grinds the beans. If I need more grounds, I grind more beans.
