Favorite filter for ragweed allergy season. I can actually go to work and not get sick. Since I am severely allergic to ragweed, as my children say, you don't go to the doctor often, and you don't go to the emergency room at all. It worked great for going into my house after a house fire. I could smell the burnt items, but I did not develop a cough or anything. The mask cleans well and did not retain the burnt smell. I tossed the filters and I already have new filters for this fall. It is easier to breath with this filter system compared to a N95 mask, and you can replace the filters. I keep my mask in a plastic bag and usually just use one set for the entire three months without problem. I did lose one filter once, so I keep an extra set for back up. Holding your hand over the filter site did not work as well as the filter! Now I just need a Darth Vader t shirt to wear when out in public......

After breathing in a bunch of welding smoke, I decided to try a slim respirator. Obviously real safety gear like 3M takes priority over everything else. After seeing all the creative and knockoff options I decided to try a filter swap on my existing 3M Niosh respirator with the plastic pink filters. These were a perfect fit. I didn't notice any unusual smells. I haven't tested them with hazardous air yet but after decades of experience, plus the perfect experience with the pink, I will blindly trust 3M on this. As for welding helmets, the big chunky pink filter is too big. These soft grey filters are perfect and I even have room to scoot the welding hood closer to my face! You're already reading a 3M filter review. You've already decided to not be an internet tough guy. You're going to make it past 55. This is not expensive, send it for the 3M.

These filters work very well and have been a great addition to my setup. I use them under a welding mask, and they fit perfectly without getting in the way or feeling bulky. Breathing is still comfortable, and they don’t restrict airflow too much, even during longer use. They provide solid protection and definitely make a noticeable difference when working around fumes and particles. The build quality feels reliable, and they hold up well with regular use. Overall, if you’re looking for filters that fit well under a welding mask and actually do their job, these are a great choice. 5 out of 5.

I have used these for some time in my workshop and they work great! only issue now is hard to get because of covid even though many of us need these to stay alive and working. I suppose some medical workers are using them but they are not designed for one use and disposal. Desperate times though, some of the medicos I have hard have been using just the n95s which are not really as good as these for weeks and they are supposed to be use one and dispose. Of course it is strange times and its not just us shop guys and gals wearing p100's now.

Work great, use them in my welding class still take up a amount of space under the hood. making it difficult to get full coverage.

I found it hard to believe these were P100 rated by how easy it is to breath with these filters. I honestly thought there was a leak until I tested my mask - no leak. You can wear a respirator all day with zero breathing labor. Absolutely the best P100 filter I have used to date from that standpoint. I can’t speak to how well these filter from an analytical standpoint - but from what I can tell from use, nothing but clean air seems to come through them. Zero smell from the filters I’ve used to date as well.

Fits good under welding helmit.

I am involved in remediation and abatement. These trades almost always involve PPE, since it may or will make you sick to inhale some of the items we're working with. That having been said, respiratory protection is essential. There is a disparity between making available proper respiratory protection and whether people will be using it. Also to consider is how quickly laborers will fatigue due to their respirator (additional exertions of having to draw breath through the filter media). The 3M Advanced Particulate Filter 2297 is a step in the right direction over the 3M 2097 . I place a high value on employee comfort, as I believe it's tied to productivity. Make it easier for people to breathe, and they can get more work done. Less likely to find them without their respirators, too. OV relief means that you don't have to smell things you're working on. Smells which this has successfully extinguished include: the stench of death (animals and people), the ripe smell of someone who's been wearing a tyvek coverall for a full work shift and most disinfectants and detergents. I bought some of these here for testing, but the price is too high for regular use. Can be found significantly cheaper in bulk (cases of 100 packages of 2 each).

Excelentes filtros contra el SARS-CoV-2 (COVID-19) debido a su filtración P100 (mejor que los filtros N95) Para ser usados en respiradores de la marca 3M de forma muy cómoda. El respirador qué se vende por separado garantiza en conjunto con estos filtros una muy muy alta eficiencia contra el coronavirus (si se adquiere una talla adecuada el respirador y los filtros universales P100) Su único detalle es que el filtro trae integrada una especie de malla plástica la cual en los bordes no siempre está tan bien cortada por lo que de repente puede rasguñar a la altura de los pómulos.

Por fin unos que vienen en su empaque original y por un precio muy accesible, excelentes filtros para el polvo que se produce en los cortes de madera.

Yo uso estos filtros para humos de soldadura simple de tubería de cobre, para insecticidas domésticos en aerosol y ciertos pegamentos que desprenden olores molestos, como el cemento para pegar PVC y en general me funcionan muy bien. Aunque estos filtros NO protegen necesariamente para COVID 19 mucha gente les ha dado ese uso, es de gustos sentirse seguros. Los filtros son dos en el empaque y vienen completamente sellados. los compre en junio y su caducidad es hasta 12/2023. Dependiendo de tu actividad no está de más usar unos lentes protectores. Vienen con un manual completo donde especifica usos y contraindicaciones que te ayuda mucho. Todo bien por parte de Amazon.

Los uso para barniz de madera, thiner y nitrocelusa diluyentes, es perfecto puedo trabajar mas tiempo incluso en areas no ventiladas

Un poco difícil de insertar en la mascarilla pero cumple su función.
