My favourite Dr Sebagh product to date.
I have several Dr Sebagh skincare products and this exfoliating face mask is a firm favourite of all the Dr Sebagh products I have used to date. The glass tub containing the mask comes in a cellophane sealed box, ensuring that it arrives in perfect condition. In pure Dr Sebagh style, when I opened the box, I found the glass jar somewhat smaller than the box itself, but this has always been my experience with Dr Sebagh products so far. The jar sits on a foam insert inside the box, so an extra precaution to ensure it arrives safely.I like my skincare products that are over the budget price range to be in glass rather than plastic tubes or tubs, as it gives the product a more premium feel I believe. The mask is peach coloured and has a slight fruity fragrance. It is of a creamy consistency. As it's exfoliating I was expecting some coarseness, but it's completely smooth which surprised me. All the ingredients and what they are good for are in the product description. The instructions state to apply once or twice a week and massage into clean, dry skin. (A little spatula is included in the box to help scoop the mask out of the jar and to spread it on the face). Leave for three to five minutes before rinsing off with warm water.I currently have a bit of a spotty breakout on my forehead and I find the mask does give me a slight stinging sensation in this area for the first minute or so, after that fine. The rest of my face, fine. I don't have sensitive skin normally.I'm absolutely delighted with the results I get from this mask. My face feels lovely and smooth and looks amazing, really bright and glowing. This mask clearly suits my skin type and works exceedingly well for me personally. As with all skincare products, results will vary wildly from person to person and for this reason I never actually recommend skincare products to people. However on this occasion, I will say that if you're in the market for a face mask, this one might be worth considering as long as all the ingredients and benefits fit with what you're looking for.

Daughter’s feedback
I ordered this for my daughter to try out.She works in an environment where she alternates between outside weather elements and inside air conditioning continuously throughout her working day, which plays havoc and dries out her skin. She regularly moisturises and applies night creams to combat the damage. She was eager to try this face mask, with mixed results. Though she found it easy to apply, she was expecting a little more coarse exfoliating cream, rather than a gel.She found it did have a slight stinging effect and was tempted to remove it straight away, but persevered as she had already patch tested that morning with no issues. The removal of the mask was a bit of faffing about and needing to keep rinsing off to clear it completely off her face. The end result was….whereby she did feel it had made an improvement to her skin, there was no obvious redness or skin sensitivity afterwards, but it’s not a masque routine she liked enough to want to use on a continuing basis, especially at the rather expensive retail price.

The best quality skincare
As I've got older, I have become a big fan of exfoliating masks. I used to be more than happy to use a scrub, but my skin feels a bit more delicate with age and I've been blown away by the effects you can achieve with something that feels just like a cream to apply. Here, it is AHA and salycic acid which provide the magic. If you aren't familiar with the brand, Dr Sebagh is right up there with the best. This exfoliating mask is made for sensitive yet blemish-prone skin. As someone with combination skin, that tends to have hormonal breakouts – but also someone who truly dislikes the feeling of my skin being 'stripped' I was very keen to try this, but at the same time, wondered if a product that's presumably a bit gentler would have truly good results.I needn't have worried. The product is peachy in colour, with a faint but pleasant scent. It looks just like a moisturiser and it feels rather like one going on. I smoothed it all over my face and neck (avoiding my eyes) and then left it for approximately 12 minutes. There was no stinging, and unlike other similar working products, it didn't feel like it was drying up on my skin as the time ticked on. It just felt like I'd put moisturiser on.To remove it, I used a warm soaked flannel, followed by several good splashes of water. It came off easily and once I'd patted dry, I examined my face for redness: nothing! What I was left with was astonishingly smooth skin – it felt totally refreshed and totally clean but without any feeling of being desperate now for moisture. Applying serum, I was really impressed by how soft my face felt. And zero redness still, even after applying another product over. This is definitely my new favourite mask, which I'll be using twice a week. I can whole heartedly recommend having a bit of a pamper session before a day or evening out when you want your make-up to be perfect, because it provides such a baby soft smooth base. Excellent – as good as I'd expect from Dr Sebagh.

Gentle yet effective
The Dr. Sebagh® Exfoliating Face Mask for Sensitive Skin beautifully marries efficacy with gentleness, making it an ideal choice for those with delicate or reactive skin types. One of the key highlights of this face mask is its formulation. The inclusion of AHA helps to dissolve dead skin cells on the surface, effectively revealing a fresher complexion beneath. This acid not only promotes cell turnover but also enhances the skin's natural luminosity, contributing to a brighter appearance. In conjunction with salicylic acid, known for its ability to penetrate deeper into the pores, this mask addresses concerns related to oiliness and clogged pores, making it particularly effective for those prone to breakouts or blemishes. The gentle nature of the Dr. Sebagh® Exfoliating Face Mask sets it apart from many traditional exfoliators that can often be too harsh for sensitive skin. This mask has been specifically formulated to deliver results without the harshness typically associated with exfoliation. Users will appreciate its creamy texture, which glides smoothly onto the skin and creates a soothing sensation upon application. Unlike other exfoliating products that can leave the skin feeling raw or tight, this mask is designed to be both effective and comfortable, making it suitable for regular use.In terms of results, this mask boosts skin cell renewal, enhancing the overall texture of the skin. Regular application can lead to a noticeable improvement in skin smoothness and tone, resulting in a more radiant and youthful appearance. The exfoliating properties work to diminish the appearance of fine lines, uneven skin tone, and other imperfections, creating a beautifully polished look.Overall, the Dr. Sebagh® Exfoliating Face Mask for Sensitive Skin is an outstanding choice for anyone seeking a gentle yet effective exfoliator that can help achieve smooth, radiant skin without compromising comfort.

Effective
The Dr Sebagh® Exfoliating Face Mask is part of a large range of products from the well regarded brand, and this one is no different. While exfoliation is the face mask’s primary function this is a chemical function, not a mechanical one so you won’t notice any abrasive particles in the smooth gel. Results have been positive; application is easy and the mask leaves the skin feeling soft with no dryness or greasiness. The gel does need to be washed off rather than simply peeled like other masks. At over £50 for 50ml at the time of writing, the Dr Sebagh® Exfoliating Face Mask sits firmly in the premium skin care category, fans of Dr Sebagh® products will not be disappointed.

Absolutely astounded at the results of this exfoliating face mask.
I had never heard of Dr Sebagh before trying this and was, probably like many others, curious about the price tag.Used once and it transformed the texture of my skin overnight. I would probably not notice much of a difference if I was under the age of 30 but at 55 (almost 56), it certainly made a huge difference.I have quite textured skin (enlarged pores mainly) and always feel that it's difficult to 'mask' it when applying makeup. No amount of pore filler seems to help either so I really wanted to see what a mask of £55 would provide.Like I said, I've used it once (!) and it's already made my pores look, and feel, smaller and somewhat minimized. Makeup went on like a dream after using it and I was asked if I'd been to a spa.So... if you think about it - the price of this cream is going to be cheaper than having a facial once a month and with that in mind, I'd gladly repurchase this once the jar is empty. Which will probably take some time as you really don't need much to cover your face and neck. There was a slight tingling sensation but that is kind of to be expected. I never suffered with any redness afterwards but was left with 100% more glowing skin and a more even skin texture.I am blown away by this mask.

Luxury treatment mask that is effective but gentle
I like Dr. Sebagh’s products because of his attention to skin sensitivities. This mask is geared toward providing exfoliation without irritation. Because I use retinol overnight, I don’t want to beat up my skin with harsh products, yet I still like to add special treatments. This mask relies heavily on lactic acid, a gentler AHA that I really like using,. I fell a little stinging sensation when I first applied it, but it lessons and I was able to keep the mask on for five minutes. The result was glowing skin without redness or irritation. This mask also contains lysine which promotes smoother texture and builds collagen. Salicylates help purify pores. It also contains peptides and hydrators. MY skin does not feel stripped afterwards and my vitamin C serum did not sting when I applied it. I. loved that my skin looks almost poreless after using this mask. When I washed my face in the evening, it still had that smooth glow. This mask comes in a 1.7 ounce glass jar. It spreads easily for massaging. There is the faintest of scents that would not offend anyone who is scent sensitive. Love the peachy pink color. This is a pricey product, but I expect it to last a long time and be my Saturday morning anti-aging treat! Highly recommend this exfoliating mask for sensitive skin.

didn't bother my skin
I usually don’t do much exfoliation at home, other than very gentle ones (gentle enough to use every day), because I regularly get facials 2–4 times a month. However, there are times when I can’t go to the spa, like during a long vacation—such as this fall.I requested this product so I could take it with me on my 3-month vacation, knowing I’d need to take care of my skin. For your reference, I have oily combination skin that can get quite sensitive depending on my menstrual cycle. To sum up, my skin responded very nicely, even though it was in a sensitive state due to changes in water, environment, etc.I would consider repurchasing this in the future, even at full price.

Not for my sensitive skin
Some days I wonder if my dry and flaky skin is partly due to a lack of some serious exfoliation. This is why I decided to try this Deep Exfoliating Mask for Sensitive Skin by Dr Sebagh.I made a point to not look at the ingredients in order to give this mask a fair chance. The formulation is thick and non-oily feeling. It smells nice, kind of a clean floral fragrance but not cloying, it is understated.Following instructions I applied it to my face and gently massaged it in for a minute. Then I left it on for 5 minutes before rinsing it off with warm water. I have done this twice now and both times the results were the same. My skin feels very smooth after using this mask. It also feels tight, dry and itchy. The mask also made my complexion pink up a little, but surprisingly not as much as I had expected, given that I was getting a tiny bit of burning sensation with it on.This is supposed to be a gentle mask for sensitive skin, but I don't see it. To my sensitive and dry skin, this formulation feels harsh. Since I suffer from rosacea, I think the high concentration of lactic acid in this product is irritating and making it worse. When I look at the ingredients in this mask, I have no use for several of them. This formulation contains acrylates, which are microplastics, bad for the environment and not something I want to put on my skin. It also contains PEGs, polyethylene glycols, which are petrochemicals. Pegs are also bad for the environment and can contain byproducts from manufacturing such as ethylene oxide, a known carcinogen, and 1,4-dioxane, a suspected carcinogen. Now add to that carbomer (which usually means more microplastics), perfume (which can contain hundreds of unspecified ingredients) and dyes... All of this pretty much summarizes a host of planet - unfriendly and person - unfriendly ingredients. Now, I am sure that this mask will work great for some people as it does have some good ingredients to help shed dead skin cells, brighten the complexion and even firm/thicken skin and smooth out fine lines. The lysine in this especially will help support collagen production and even out skin tone. I just don't think it is a good formulation for many of us with dry, aging sensitive skin.As far as value, this deep exfoliating mask is selling for $85 and looking at the ingredients I must admit that I am clueless as to why it is so expensive. Due to the pricing and the ingredients discussed above I cannot recommend this product.

Lactic acid exfoliating mask
This is not your typical exfoliating mask with scrubbing particles to help rub off dead skin. Instead, this feels like a very thick lotion that you rub on and then let slit on your skin 3-5 minutes before washing off. It feels more like a moisturizing mask when you are using it. However, skin is smooth and soft after using and looks good, which is what everyone wants! It is very pricey for such a small container, which is why I deducted one star.

Great chemical exfoliator
I used this exfoliating face mask and didn't experience any irritation. I only use it on congested areas of my skin, not more delicate or dry areas. I use it to spot correct, so I use it on my nose and chin. I can see how it could be irritating if used on the cheeks. This exfoliator does begin to help clearing some congested areas of the face. It did not clear my pores, but opened them so that I could then clear them with a peel off mask. After several weeks of use, I could use it without a peel off mask. The product smells like peaches. It's a pleasant smell and isn't overly perfumy or cloying.
