Prime-Line H 3962 Universal, Diecast, White, Folding Crank Handle for Casement Windows (Single Pack)

The handle has 5 different spline adapters that are numbered. It is pretty easy to figure out which adapter works with the spline you are putting/replacing the handle on. The set screw has a Phillips head, and my generic kitchen tool draw screwdriver worked easily.The adapter part is plastic, so I have no idea how long they will actually last. One the other hand, the soft metal in the original handles wore out too.

The set screws are painted into their holes and difficult to turn.I used a heat gun to soften the paint and they loosened right up, I’m sure a hairdryer would also work.Other than that, they’re great!

These are so cheap. I thought the original ones with the aluminum inserts were bad, but they took it a step further by using plastic inserts on these. I wasn't able to open a single window, even a window that normally opens easily if you have a decent handle on it. Using the correct sized plastic insert for the splines on my window cranks, it still stripped it out on the first attempt to use it. This isn't a window/crank that's in bad shape either. It's oiled and opens just fine and doesn't require a lot of torque to open it. These handles are just junk. The only possibility of opening one is if I were to put the screw in really tight so that it pushed into the metal splines on my window hardware. However, that's not how these are intended to function and I wasn't going to risk damaging the splines on my windows by doing that.

Shipping was quick and the product is ok, just seems to be a little cheap the way it works. The inserts are plastic and I have to keep tightening the screws for them to work but they do work.

My Peachtree Windows went out of business and used a non-standard smaller 9/32 spline drives. This kits includes an insert for this unique size which is great however all inserts are plastic so I have SERIOUS doubts how long they will work (plastic doesn't tend to fare well when meshing with steel). I doubt they will even last a year given how fine the plastic spline is so I wish I had a few more inserts for me to replace as needed. I ended up buying a pair of these folding cranks (cranks are decent quality metal) for a pair of Windows that we never open but like to keep small plants on that ledge so the folding handle can helkp us here and looks decent as a matched pair. Now I have 2 OEM Peach tree cranks to use on more frequently opened windows in my home.

Our house is twenty five years old and our window cranks are wearing out. These window cranks are the perfect fit. They are not only attractive but they are easy to change out and are quite durable as well. The white color matches our window frame color perfectly. The fold in easily to accommodate the wood blinds on the window. The price is reasonable as well. You will not be dissapointed.

We have vertical blinds on our casement windows and they always get caught on the crank. Since this one folds it no longer catches the blinds. The right size plastic insert did need some persuasion to fit (rubber mallet) but at least it's nice and tight fit. I wasn't sure what size the stud was so it's was nice to have multiple size inserts to try.Update 8/24/25. The pin holding the two halves backed out and the hole itself is worn. The casting isn't durable enough to withstand daily use. Great idea but needs to be made of better material or a different joint design. Dropped 2 stars for this. I expect the other cranks to have the same issues over time.

Old azz crank window handle was trash and really big which was annoying since it pushed into a new blind that was installed. This was just what I needed and was easy to install. Had different options too. The color is so much nicer than old crap handle too.

Does the job, only 4 star as it sticks out even further than the orginal handle despite being folded. So if you plantation blinds or roller blinds it may snag.

Replaced another model - not as good as the original which just snapped into place and no tools were needed to install

Fits Ok however there is way to much play in the swing arm joint.

There are enough inserts that they should fit any spline. Unfortunately they are plastic so they will strip and/or wear out over time so you are left with perfectly good crank but no insert to fit.
