Got these for my reptiles cause there a high wattage 10 inch dome with a good depth, heats that 1/3 of the enclosure perfectly. The bulb guard is an amazing addition if your able to use it. Nice durable 6 foot cord, as well as a removable metal hanging attachment can make things easier. I well be buying more of these and will keep buying them for any reptile for as long as they are available.

This unit works fine. Mind you, it cannot take much abuse. It'll bend and deform rather easily when abused to any level. Just a caution ... the porcelain parts are expensive to replace. So, if you purchase this, know that it's easier to replace than repair. And, the price was good compared to others of its type.

The Woods 151 Clamp Lamp with 8.5-Inch Reflector works well, but be aware that the metal gets hot – which should be obvious since metal conducts heat. It's great for various lighting needs, and the 6-foot cord provides flexibility. Just handle with care to avoid burns. Overall, it's a solid lamp for the price, but keep in mind the heat issue.

An absolute great investment for health! Used with a "brooding" Near-Infrared (red) bulb for great health benefits as detailed in "Sauna Therapy" book by Dr. Lawrence Wilson. Added the 300-watt lamp inside a Far-Infrared Sauna, hung from the towel rack (drilled a small hole on the sauna wall for the cord to go through). I used 3 wooden clothes pins to prop the lamp further outward or away from the wall, no big deal, lol. Hardly any dent on lamp itself when it arrived. A similar lamp is available locally for us from the common home improvement store, but with screws instead of this UPDATED clamp system... so that's going to take awhile (like months) to be installed once I've configured the right wood setup. Meanwhile this Woods clamp lamp from Amazon is amazingly convenient and READY TO USE after only a 5-minute assembly time! Highly recommended.
