Buy the Every Day filters if you want to chug already potable water
The Every Day filters are the ones you want if you want to chug already potable water and you just want a filter to improve the taste. The more aggressive filter can be difficult to get water out of quickly, but is what you want for any sus water sources. UPDATE: It seems they've updated the "Everywhere" filter again and now it appears to have a bit of charcoal and it's easier to drink through. I think I'll stick with the Everywhere model now, seems to be a good balance of filtering vs effort.

Clean, tasty water
My family drinks water from plastic containers. We’ve been warned about the plastic particles but they choose to ignore it. I’ve been using these filters for several years and hope to continue.

Prefer the older “Urban Filter”
This one seems to be a combo of their older urban and outdoor filters. I don’t see them selling the older varieties and I don’t know why they don’t. This one is harder to drink from and that’s because of the added filtration to filter out things you would want to filter out from an outdoor source like a stream. It’s not TERRIBLE but it’s noticeable. I would prefer the old Urban Filter if they ever brought it back. I will still continue to use this though. I do like that you can recycle 4 filters and get one free from them.

Does not fit universal straw sizing!
This says that it should be compatible with all sorts of different drinking bottles that use a straw. This is not true! It takes a much wider straw than normal. I find this completely unusable.

Recommend
I have a bottle from many years ago. The filter was different. Black. Meant to be replaced, whole thing, plastic and filter as one. I purchased the new one, as expected, fits on the straw as it should. Backwards compatible.

FANTASTIC
LOVE THESE! Comes in a box with different length straws to fit in whichever water bottle you own. Water tastes GREAT!

High quality bottle and filter combo. Filters out everything like bacteria, viruses and chemicals. If you buy direct it’s a 30% saving which I did for the next bottle. Both made in the USA.

I am a loyal UK customer of EpicWaterFilters and have been for many years. I have come to rely upon their Nalgene bottle filters. I drink a lot of water and I was so happy to finally find a reliable filter system for water bottles. I have multiple EWF bottles and have bought many replacement filters as needed over the years. I’ve drunk many thousands of litres of water through Everyday bottle filters. EWF initially had great customer service. Stock was plentiful and delivery swift. There was a club subscription service which offered better value. When I needed some replacement rubber straw tips, they sent them out no problem. This all changed about a year ago. UK stock suddenly completely dried up in late 2022. You can get effectively nothing on the UK website. Replacement bottle filters have been unobtainable for well over a year. Thousands of UK customers were given up on overnight, with gobsmacking indifference. Bear in mind the entire business model is based on replacement filters; customers are completely reliant on getting replacement filters when needed. Their UK website is effectively a useless shell at present. The US website is not much better most of the time. At first EWF claimed that because they were releasing the Everywhere bottle filter, that they were in a crossover period, to explain complete lack of any stock. In very apathetic emails they made thin promises about imminent stock rejuvenation. At this point there had been no stock for many months. More emails and more apathy and promises about imminent stock renewal. After a while I gave up contacting them every couple of months. Their promises were all lies, stock has never been made available. Months are soon to become years. Zero notices or messages have ever been communicated to customers about the problems: not via email, their websites, or their social media. They are completely radio silent as if all is fine. Social media posts go out as if all is great. The complete disrespect shown to customers is astonishing and something I have never witnessed before. They absolutely couldn’t care any less about their customers and are quite content with having scored wealth through initial sales before abandoning the market. The Everywhere bottle filter released to supersede the Everday and Outdoor bottle filters. These are obviously also not available in the UK. However they eventually came available to order on Amazon from the US (at a considerable markup). Reviews for this new filter were already bad, almost exclusively with regards to flow-rate. But with no alternative and desperate, I ordered some. The Everywhere filter’s flow rate and effort required for sucking water through are absolutely atrocious. I tried many possible methods including pre-soaking, of allowing adjustment after a couple of weeks, etc. (None of which are suggested, you are told nothing is needed, just pop in and good to go.) These filters hurt my mouth with the power needed to extract water. I actually feel like it is bad for you to be using these over a prolonged time due to the negative pressure. As someone who used the filters everyday for plenty of water, it’s a non-starter. A perfect product ruined. I understand they wanted to create a supposedly more eco-friendly product. But the benefits on that are questionable. And having one filter for indoor water and one for outdoors is fine. Condensing into one product is a mostly illogical move as outdoor filtration has to be much greater which severely impacts flow rate. Thus disregarding and alienating the vast majority of customers using EWF products to filter tap water. EWF don’t appear to care about this. The company continues to post zero updates about stock and has clearly given up on the UK market. The company has stopped distribution anywhere in the world of the Everyday bottle filters which were perfect for filtration and flow rate. If they made a more sustainable version of that filter, fine! But they obviously have no plans to. EWF has gone from great to not only awful, but actually disrespectful of the customers who made their company successful. And with the UK market their behaviour is unethical and outrageous.

I used to be a massive fan of the Epic water filters, I have several bottles in the house and I used to love them. They recently changed the design of the filter from the black one to the new white one and this is a horrible change. The water flow rate in the new filter is so bad that I struggle to get any water out. This isn't a small difference, it is massive. The flow rate in the new filters is worse that old filters that we had been using for a year. I have purchased multiple of these filters and all of them are bad. I thought maybe the smaller gap it to blame but nope, you can take the whole plastic case off and the water is still not flowing right. You can see that the design of the filter itself has changed from round layers to a more conventional zig-zag pattern. This new design is so bad that the whole family has complained and we drink significanly less water now becasue of it. You cannot buy the old ones anymore so I actually cleaned some of the old filters with a descale solution and I am now looking for alternative brands.
